Wasn't there a cameraman he leaned against who said he smelled like lavender and babies or something crazy like that? lol

I do remember a lot of people mentioning lavender as his scent.

Yes his death was so sudden (for the most part) and so wrong and he was almost perhaps saved by that doctor the next morning, although we'll never know. He should still be here and just doesn't make sense that he's not. There is a huge hole in the world, and I know in all of our hearts.

Yes, I remember hearing that too! Apollonia said Prince smelled as good as she imagined. lol

It's hard to describe what PP smells like. There are misters placed throughout the complex that release a burst of mist. I was standing right next to one when it went off and the smell wasn't overwhelming like I thought it would be. There's a subtle smell of lavender combined with some others. Clove maybe?

Might I suggest grief counseling? There is a good national network. I say this because public flagellation probably won't help you at this point. I'm serious.

I woke up this morning crying with P on my mind. Last night was such a beautiful night. As I was cooking in the kitchen, I had the Montreux 2013 concert playing in the background. I was so happy, watching P as I began dancing and singing along with him. Then I started getting excited thinking about going to PP next year and how much fun it will be. I really felt P's spirit and it made me so happy..I felt like I was in the crowd as I watched him perform on the screen of my phone. Now I'm just sad all over again, looking at his photos and crying. I started feeling chest pains..so I took a few deep breaths and it eventually went away. I don't know if I'll ever really be ready to visit PP. I know I just need to go. I know I'll never get over P's passing. As soon as I feel like I'm all healed up...one song is all it takes to break my heart all over again.. sigh cry cry bawl ... Please no mean or heartless comments. I'm sure there are many of you who understand how I'm feeling. [Edited 5/29/17 5:05am]

It's okay to be sad; if you need to cry, let it out; that is your body's way of relieving stress and toxins from your body; it's natural and God gave us tears for a good reason!!

.

When your sadness builds up, have a good cry. There is nothing wrong in crying and it's not a sign of weakness--it shows that you are strong enough to show your emotions. Holding grief inside will lead to self-destruction.

.

Therapy/counseling helps, it sure helped me when I lost my Mom, although I am still sad most of the time. sad

I don't know what "organic" means in this context. By all means share in grief but remember, we're a year down the line now and the breakdown emails keep coming. Sharing doesn't seem to be helping. Which I why I say therapy. Isn't it obvious?

I just came back from a four day trip to Minneapolis. I spent two days at Paisley Park and it was AMAZING! I am so happy that I went there and don't regret spending the money to do so as I will be out of work with no job prospects in sight at the end of this week. But, I had to do this trip for my soul, to help me heal. I felt his love all around me as soon as I stepped into the foyer. Yes, I shed my tears as I stood there underneath the spot where his urn is placed now. I urge anyone who hasn't made the trip to take the VIP tour as it is the best. Our guide was very respectful of our grief. She is a huge Prince fan and she still grieves, so she understands how we feel. Our group consited of only 4 people- myself, my niece and my best friend. The fourth person was someone who was in training (but we didn't know about that at the start) to be a PP guide. On the VIP tour you get to spend much more time in each room and the guides tell you so much more about the items in the rooms. Minneapolis is so utterly beautiful! We went downtown to see the Prince sights and even went to Lake Minnetonka. I placed my toe in the lake so I guess I have been purified! Everything is so green and pretty there. Make sure you take the asphalt path leading from the left side of PP to the 'Graffit Bridge' site. There are two tunnels that are under the road in front of PP filled with graffiti and a fence that has momentos from fans on it. It is very moving in its own right. I cried as I read a note from someone who came to honor their brother who cherished Prince and who had passed away after Prince. I took pics of all the sections and will read them all later when I have time. So many people from all over the world left messages. It was truly heart warming to see the love that the fans have for our beloved Prince.

[Edited 5/29/17 16:26pm]

Thank you king! It sounds like you had the time of your life at PP and the whole trip in general sounds amazing. I'm sure you'll continue to cherish every single moment and photo you've taken while you were there. OMG I would love to visit Lake Minnetonka and be purified. I'd probably end up putting both of my feet in the water lol. I will definitely visit and when I do, I will make the most of it. I can only imagine how hard it might have been for you to see our Prince in his urn sad ..I know for sure I'll start crying. I definitely want to leave momentos for him along with some flowers. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us hug

That sounds amazing and I look forward to know more of your time at PP. Sorry to hear about your job, but good luck to your future job search. smile
