Prince Estate Don't Even THINK About Releasing New Music ...Producer Loses in Court

Prince Estate Don't Even THINK About Releasing New Music ...Producer Loses in Court

Prince's estate is putting the brakes on the planned release of a new album, thanks to a court ruling in its favor ... TMZ has learned.

This honestly should not surprise anyone.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was holy shit this guy has some balls, and there is no way the release is going to happen. This guy had to know a legal purple avalanche would take place pretty damn quick.

The dude even hired a stunt double for the video, unless that was animation, I cannot tell, all I know is it was not Prince in that promo video. But the dude sure went ALL IN for this.

Anyway, even if this actually got released, I would have never considered it an actual release, but rather a leak that someone tried to capitalize on. We are still a long ways off from the first vault release that Prince has NOTHING to do with.

Are you planning to purchase the release? I want to hear the songs, of course, but now I have this weird sense of conflict about buying them. How much loyalty should fans have to the Estate? Is the Estate synonymous with Prince's Wishes/Memory? Does any of this even matter any more, especially since he didn't leave a will? Fans shouldn't feel conflicted about wanting to hear the music he left behind, yet the conflict, like the music, is out there.

We don't know *what* Prince's wishes were. Think about it, Minnesota state law put his family in charge of the estate, not him.

Apple pulled it which is not a surprise that has happened with other artists and things being sold, some artists have had radio shows and broadcasts being sold and then they caught on and they were pulled. Since APPLE is a big name obvioiusly any pressure put on them and they will remove the content right away. The personal website that he put up will take some time to get down, but if you want it get it now, youtube links will be gone soon, there is a lot of building pressure to remove this fast. Since it is becoming obvious that there was no agreement on who is getting this money, a claim is made it is going to the estate but there is no agreement that it is in any way.

The story has been out there that dude was owed money so he released the tracks he had. Obviously P didn't care enough about these tracks to pay to get them so I'm cool with buying them. Figured it's my way of paying P's bill for him. Ha. I bought off the guys' site cause I knew these would not make it to Friday.

Am kind of glad it has been pulled. The dude wrong to release it in the first place.

Am sure the estate will release it in good time.

According to Twitter he let alot of website domain names lapse. The current owners bought it in March from a domain seller.

Seems like someone managing the estate would have been watching important domains and buy them when available, but not surprising I guess

The important thing now is that it's out and free and I'm very grateful to have heard these songs. I'm happy now that the wrong people are no longer getting paid by unsuspecting folks. If the estate puts this out, or anything else, then I'll gladly pay for it.

Something the estate needs to watch as this latest release was under one of Prince's old domains so more could spring up and people would, in fairness, think they were legit.

If Prince's estate would get busy preparing and releasing all the Prince music they have, this kind of stuff wouldn't have such a huge market. People want Prince music! There is tons of it! Release it!
