The Screams Of Passion......would be heaven with Prince's vocal's...wonder if there's a Prince version of Manic Monday....

Yes...there is....in a duet with Apollonia....

The version I have leaves a LOT 2 b desired.

do you mean the quality of the recording is bad (i.e bad sounding bootlegg) or do you mean the actual song itself leaves alot to be desired??

To be honest, I believe next in line was "Hit'nRun phase III". He released two singles related to this one.

.

His last single was Black Sweat Live from the Piano tour. He'd announced the live CD was ready to go.

.

Then everything stopped sad

.

HNR3 and other album titles thrown around early 2016 were never confirmed or even slated for release, but the Live Piano CD was.

Except that Prince himself started playing the same game he played with HNR2, retweeting people, mentioning HNR3, and replying one follower who asked for tracks included in HNR3, replying with "Free Urself". So he likely had a plan for it.

Yes, he was working (as usually) on different projects: HIT'N'RUN III, Live piano Cd (od dvd?) and 3rd Eye Girls second album. Oblivious I do not know if HIT'N'RUN III was ready, but I felt a certain urgency in the phase I and phase II releases and the release of two singles and a demo from phase III makes me think that this project was at a very advanced stage.

I totally agree as there certainly was momentum in HNR so much so that they could have been released every three months.

.

That being said, (without finding screen shots), Prince seemed quite sure the live CD was next.

.

I'm sure he said (somewhere in the social world) that it had been mixed and was ready to go.

.

After all in an interview in 1999 he clearly stated Roadhouse Garden only had three weeks production work left - but that never happened either.

.

Sadly we can only presume now what would have been.

.

I really liked the fact that Tidal showed the potential covers for each HNR CD which naturally fuelled the excitement and speculation.

.

2016 should have been an amazing year and from a complete selfish point of view I feel we have missed out on something great - but sadly our world caved in, in such a way no one could have ever predicted.

.

lol sad

I agree. I wrote a long long post about this, but it is too long to translate it.

that book also says there is a recording of the full Family album with Prince vocals

Is this really news to people? eek

Right.... Early versions with Prince's guide vocals have been widely circulating for years for most of the LP.

I thought I'd read somewhere that some of the versions of the songs on that album that had Prince's guide vocals on them had been erased when Paul sang over them, notably the original Nothing Compares 2 U. So maybe they were referring to the whole album still existing despite those reports. But fuck it I could be remembering that wrong, not sure confused

At the party at Paisley Park on April 16, Prince said that they were going to clean up the recording of the 2nd Atlanta show and rid it of folks screaming, then release it.
