Prince 1993-03-26 New York, NY [ECV/FFP]

NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced!

I want this. Be a good upgrade on the Licence 2 Funk boot from the 24th.

Probably my new favorite Act 1 show.

I have both of the NY Shows, and during one Prince slips and falls. It's an interesting moment to see how professional he was at continuing seamlessly; he never even stops signing. I love both of these shows, and I've mixed my favorite parts from both shows into one show.

^^^ I never did see much of Act I or II stuff. Despite prince being a favorite album, I was a bit distracted with going to school and being dirt poor to do much more than listen to a dub of the album on cassette I copied from my cousin. I missed the D&P era because of other things. So the shows are still a bit more foreign to me than other stuff. It'd be nice to kind of absorb some of it.

I think I have a VHS of a German show, after prince came out.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I'm confused: are we talking new leak or "remastered" bootleg? And is it audience or soundboard/pro-shot?

.

Aftershows and bits and pieces (a few songs) from a few regular shows aside, the only full soundboard I have from 1993 is an Act II from Luneburg. Hell, I realize don't even have a single full Act I show at all (though I used to have an audience Act I on CD, but I guess I sold it at some point because I never got around to ripping it).

.

I think I still have my audience recordings of the 2 Paris shows that I had attended on cassette in my stored boxes in France, too, but I wonder if I'll ever get to listen to those again.

I hope I wasn't the cause of the confusion. I was referring to the two videos of the NYC shows that I originally obtained on VHS and later converted to DVD. Iirc, I obtained those VHS tapes in 1993 or early 1994, but I'm almost sure it was very close to the time of the actual shows. The same is true of the couple of VHS I obtained of the Act II European leg of the tour.

Honestly, that sometimes dictates if I download something or not. I'd like to know.

The video I've come across is unfortunately audience shot, a decent one though.
.
A pro-shot looking multi angled video of My Name Is Prince from Act I was floating round a couple of months ago so I was hoping it was the complete show from that.

It is out and it's a decent audience shot show. The pro shot show from Detroit that Paisley Park showed was excellent sound and video. Hopefully they will get around to releasing it.

I never said you post misleading threads, I said they lacked information.

And yes, I am praising bootlegs, as they are a staple in Prince's career and a large contributor as to why many of us are fans.

What shouldn't be praised is PAYING or SELLING bootlegs.

I will never get over this one. I stood in line at Tower Records on 86thst to get tix for this and the person if front of me got the last ticket. Heart broken. Never got to see this tour. In fact I don't think I saw him live again until maybe 97-98 maybe. Still angry.

It's on YouTube, listed by date. It's a good show. I still forget if it's the one I already have, but I don't think so. I still think the one I have is from Europe.
