old clip--I love of Take Me with you...sorry if you all have seen it, but I love it.

P's best version of Take me With YOu...

I have found that old footage of live work from the mid-80's Prince heyday can be a bit grainy and rough (audibly), (so on average not as enjoyable to me as Montreux etc), or it can be like the Parade tour (enjoyable but not as focused on Prince's instrumentalist side) but this clip kind of blew me away...its my second favorite Purple Rain era live performance (after Electric Intercourse and a step above the Grammy's Purple Rain performance).

The second half is WOWSERs!!!!>>> Prince is not just a bandmember or replacable by a good imitator (Bruno, I love you but still...)...Leeds, Melvoin, Coleman are great musicians who I respect a great deal... Some of the stuff Leeds plays on P's songs truely blows me away. And Wendy and Lisa are excellent songwriters and musicans. But without Prince, the magic is just not there. NOt only is Prince as good of a musician, he is charisma, passion, and brilliance rolled into one, and he was capable of being that way by himself with a just a piano or an accoustic guitar (and probably should have done that very thing more often.)

Preaching to the choir I know...but I really can't say it enough. And I wish I could convice People outside this website that Bruno Mars lounge act imitation isn't half (or even an 1/8) of our Prince's capabilities.

Here's the clip and it features a very fun guitar solo on the song Take me With You-(-of all songs to have a great guitar solo). The visuals clear up about 10 seconds into the clip, so don't worry. The dancing is somewhat simple compared to 90's era P dancing except that it is simultaneously executed to guitar playing and the Revolution is pretty tight with their moves as well...Okay, Kudos to them as well..LOL.

Without further ado--here you go... Have fun.

You know what. I like the performance. Its fun. Don't drag me down with your expertise...LOL. Plus, I am actually not a big enough fan of the film Purple Rain to buy it. I prefer the music seperate from the film.

If that just a promo--then that is a damn fine promo and only proves my point. By the way, your girl Wendy rocks in that video [or sorry, promo] ..(she's in your signature pix so I assumed you're a fan.)
