"If you come to my house I need you to take care of it, alright? Would you do that for me?"

"When you come to our house next time we see each other it's going to be at Paisley Park. If don't know the way get somebody to show you. At Paisley Park we sing together, we dine together and we love together". 😢

I watch this sometimes rogifan. It is really something isn't it. This is one of the videos where I wonder if Prince was giving us his wishes for when he wouldn't be here.
I know he was aware he had a legacy.
I consider the Org to be his home too in a way. It's important to me that we do as he asked here too. 💜

There were several European shows in 2014 where he asked people to come to Paisley Park. And he responded to a tweet about how to stop ticket touts by saying residency at Paisley Park. He seemed more sentimental about it. Was this something he did often over his career and I'm just not remembering it?

I can't remember anything like that before then but maybe others will.

But...look at our signatures. 🙂

That was a weird show for me for some reason...when he talked about paisley park, it did seem extra sentimental and deep, but then he did not sing the song, and had Melissa Jax sing it and it was not great. I always wonder why he would make that statement and then not sing the song himself? And for me this is when he started looking different.

What a powerful performance... And how about these words around the 5 min. mark...

"Contrary to rumour... I know you are what you eat... And usually... I eat... LIGHT....That'll hit you tomorrow.....When you come to our house... Next time we see each other, it's gonna be in Paisley Park.... And if you don't know the way, get somebody to show you.... In Paisley Park we sing together... We dine together... And we love together."

In my opinion, it seems pretty obvious that these words are not meant to be taken literally. Paisley Park is a metaphor for heaven. And the "light" that he eats is the Word of God. ("Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4)

Wow, LSN2. Yup. Maybe he thought he's get too emotional. This was around the time I believe he started mentioning that his body hurt to his close friends. 😰

Yes. "Light" had a double meaning: he did eat lightly, but he fed himself the Truth. The Truth in all the places and ways that can be found.

Slightly off topic here, sorry, but I could never make sense of his style in the last few years. For me he could do no wrong in regards to his style for his entire career, until the last few. Even when he would wear something so over the top that it made you laugh a little, it still some how worked on that frame, with that face and everything else he had to offer. But when he started wearing the matching slinky techno-fiber golden girlesque outifts, with the high heel tennis shoes, it was just like what? It makes me wonder if his skin hurt, like when you have the flu and even you pj's hurt your skin. Does anybody remember the last time he was seen in a suit?

Seems to me his suit phase ended in the mid 2000s. Occasionally he would wear one on stage or at an awards ceremony but nothing like what he wore during Musicology or 3121 era. I'll still take the stuff he wore from 2014-2016 over anything he wore in the early to mid 90s. lol

I don't, but I was thinking yesterday that I and many others are just like Prince in that we go through changes and phases in our lives with our hair, clothes etc...it may just be that he hung around with a lot of girls and was in touch with that side of himself so like them, he changed his look every once in a while too.

Prince looked really healthy in his blue suit at the Super Bowl in2007 and then he looked so frail and thin in his red suit at Montreuxin 2009....he sounded great in both shows

-/Yes, he was dressing really plain almost always in black but that was better than crap he was wearing in the 90s

Wow never thought of it that way but it makes sense.

It makes a lot of sense along with other clues. I believe he had serious health issues even if it was only joint pain which can be extreamly painful and actually put you in a wheelchair.

Very sad and hard to look at.
