Yes IIRC

Oops, I meant "apart from" the lyric.

IDK once I had found a thread on some board that described all the changes in OTW, Bad and History in detail, I think u can find it thru google.

At the end of the day, this is another dig at 4ever.

.

So far this album has been exposed as cheap, haphazard, poorly arranged, ML is almost certainly a bootleg mix and to make it worst, they are fading out editted versions of songs to fit on the disc.

.

Sounds like the "40 Golden Hits of Prince" by some company like Ktel or Startel, except Warners did it and rather than rant at you guys - I agree.

.

Seriously looking at it today, it has a cheep ass cardboard pack (After the 2014/2015 albums were back in cases again), some out take photos from the 1993 Hits sessions by Herb Rits and basically 39 heard to death single edits and one edit of a legendary song sourced off a bootleg. I mean really, I think Warners is taking the Mickey out of us fans and Prince, by issuing this rubbish, if Prince was alive, do you think he would approve of it? (And of course obviously without ML if he was alive).

.

This is nothing more than a ruthless korporate kash in on a dead celebrity, which is why I do not hold any especial hopes for Purple Rain deluxe, it would probably be a reissue of the album and a special anniversary edition of Purple Rain the movie, like last time, along with some exclusive $19.95 each Chinese made re pressings of the 7 inch singles. lol

I don't believe so, I didn't care to check but according to the 4ever thread the edits were the 7'' edits as such.

With one very strange exception: Let's Work. The single edit on the 45 fades out, but the one on 4Ever ends like the album with the shout of "Let's Work!". Totally odd. confused

Are there any changes on there about the They Don't Care About Us lyric?

Yes IIRC

I have two copies of History and there are differences.

On my original album from 1995 TDCAU has the lyrics, "Jew me, sue me" and "Kick me, kike me" whereas in the new CD I bought 2 years ago, it is bleeped out (I bought it as my original was missing the booklet).

Also the song Scream, has the 2nd line of the chorus between verses 2 and 3 changed from "Just stop pressuring me, just stop pressuring me, just stop FUCKING with me" bleeped out. The 2nd album was a clean version that reissued after complaints about the use of the words Jew and Kike.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

It's just fuck ups with the digital catalogue, happens to loads of artists. Obviously it's not okay but it's common enough. Hopefully it'll be sorted if and when the catalogue is re-released. 4Ever at least had some 7" edits that weren't available on cd (or very hard to find) before but it also had obvious mess ups like the Mountains album version rather than the single version. I suspect if people had been paying attention to what they were doing they'd have also included the same versions of Gett Off and 7 as appeared on the Hits.

What are the differences with the Mountains single version? I've been reading about 4ever including the album version but I've even played the version on the Peach cd single and still can't tell any difference confused Can anyone shed some light?

The real edit has a proper fade out instead of fading into Do U Lie?
