been answered a zillion times but I always thought the production sounded too homeade to even think Prince did it. A great imitation no doubt, one of the best and that's saying something. Also, most Prince replications were a little behind whatever he was doing and I think this one has vocals that sound more like the parade sott era than they did the D$P era when it came out. The vocal mannerisms, those little rhythmic things that Prince did mainly came from the atwiad/parade/sott era.

I'm on the org since 2003 and a fan since 1997. So no newbie that only find prince interesting now he's dead.

I remember when this song came out.It was the fall of 1991 and I was waiting for Prince's new album Diamonds and Pearls.My sister hears the Natural Selection song on the radio and yells to me "Hey,they're playing the new Prince song!!" lol I can't believe how so many people thought it was Prince,lol
