Love the album. Stripped down (but not literally--its not Dirty Mind after all. LOL) , melodic, personal, humorous, quirky, and in fine voice.

Questlove led me to that album in one his P articles and I am so glad he did. I don't always agree with the big afro'd dude but here he was spot on.

oh I love it! one of my alltime high. love the entire album. welcome 2 the dawn is amazing, the other side of the pillow as well. parts of it coming from a very dark place like comeback or one of your tears but are so beautiful that it hurts. awww and 3rd eye and dionne ... could go on and on ... simply awesome stuff. there is only one track I can't get a connetcion with and that's man in a uniform. one of his most underrated albums IMO.
