Replica "Purple Rain" Motorcycle in DC Area I didn't see this posted or in a forum search and thought I'd drop it here for discussion in addition to the Marketplace post; it's a bit different than the typical listings. Mods, please delete if this isn't appropriate.
I ran into an advert for a "Purple Rain" replica motorcycle in the Washington DC area and called the dealer to inquire. From the information I can gather (from sales, mind you) the seller has put quite a bit of time and effort into this project and has made every attempt to be as close to the original as possible; they claim this motorcycle is a more accurate replica than what is on display in PP. I'm in no way affiliated with either seller or dealership, I just wanted to pass this along. Whether someone here picks this up or not, the pictures from the dealer are fairly decent...

I'm not really sure. However, the dealer stated that it is not the same as what is in Paisley Park and that this one had more attention to detail, for what that's worth. He mentioned things like the front signal lights were sourced to match the bike used, whereas the Paisley example had stock lights that differ. |
