Joffrey Ballet - Memories and info

Went to see this at the Barbican London. Not a ballet fan so took my mum who was... but of course it was Prince so had to go.. i really enjoyed....Not sure I could watch them dance to "Sometimes it snows in April" at this time.. Nice article below on how this show/prince saved the company from folding

Thanks for posting! This contains a brief interview with John Command, a choreographer quoted in the article: http://minnesota.cbslocal...eographer/

I loved Command's description of some Prince qualities: "“Magic, gentility, kindness, tolerance, beauty, androgyny, acceptance. All of that..."

I had the honor of watching the Joffrey Ballet perform live to his music at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion at the Millenium Park in Chicago when I lived there a few years ago. I was giddy as a Prince fan! cool
