The Grand Progression

Does anybody know the actual chord progression? I know it was to start in Ab, but what were the next 16 steps?

Listen2Prince !!

U can listen to a different Prince project every week for a year! Sometimes U might have to double (or triple) up on related albums to make it fit, tho.

That should get you started. Shockingly, Google doesn't turn up anything. I would've figured that somebody would've posted a chart - the concept behind The Grand Progression is so deliciously music-nerdy (I say as a professional nerd of music).

FlyOnTheWall

I don't, but I adore this song. No one can evoke emotions like Prince.

Latin

This is one of the very best Prince songs.

His lovely family chose this song and "God" for their private memorial.

I listen to this when I want to really hear his voice. I think it's one of the songs that best highlights his best instrument.

I was surprised, too. Other than the "progression of 17 chords starting originating from the Ab." I'll check that thread out, thank you!
