This Thanksgiving, I want to thank Prince....

... 4 making me realize, now, more than ever, how time is precious. I've been reassessing my priorities in life and 2 follow my dreams.

Life is short. Our days are numbered. It’s time 4 me 2 make a decision 2 go 4 it. Thank u Prince 4 showing me that through ur life and music.

Gohi

I've been repairing relationships with friends and family. Prince's unexpected passing has definitely helped me realize how unimportant some tiny disagreements are.

I want to thank Prince for left behind so much body of work of art for diehard fans like me to continued to enjoy. I wish he was here but what matter is his music timeless.

I was thinking about this last night.
I am very grateful to Prince for showing me new things about music - to love the bass and a beat that I might've not otherwise really gotten into...for showing me a whole other side to music and the industry that I might've never found otherwise... for being an example of living in so many ways through his lyrics and lifestyle, and for so many other things.

I am sad he is not here this Thanksgiving but am living the way he would want us to: I spent my day grateful and giving and receiving love in the purpose I've been given on this earth.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Grateful for the lessons learned, the advice he gave to artists and I actually took it to heart and acted on it. Thank you for making me reconcile some things from the past. I feel a little more complete right now. Awesome man then, awesome man now.

Welcome home class. We've come a long way. - RIP Prince

I thank Prince Nelson for giving us insight through the windows of his soul and for sharing his enormous Godly gifts with us, to last forever. I thank Prince for choosing us to love him and for all the love he gave us in return. I thank him for being genuine, authentic, normal, caring, kind, loving, and sharing, and most importantly, for being a real MAN.

I want to thank Prince for all the wonderful music, over all the years, that continues to lift my spirit, and makes me smile, and moves my body. I also want to thank Prince for the ping pong renaissance in my small far northern community. Some of you may have read my post #43 in Grief Counselling Resources from October 28 where I recount how my trip to Paisley Park had some unforeseen and serendipitous consequences. Well, since then ping pong aficionados have been coming out of the wood work and we are coming together a couple of times a week for an informal and all inclusive ping pong drop-in sessions at our community centre. Come young, come old, skilled and novice, lonely, grieving, laughing, loving. We'll see how it evolves...ladders, tournaments, training for the Arctic Winter Games. Or maybe an all night purple pyjama marathon fundraiser. The sky's the limit! Never would have picked up a paddle again, Prince, it it hadn't been for you! Am going to order those purple ping pong balls from the Paisley Park shop for those special games...
