Also no one has answered my question of who the liner notes writer is -- this Roger Murdoch person? If there are so many Huge Prince Fans out there that know so much about Prince they should be able to tell us all about Roger Murdoch, hmmmmmm?

Done to death, known as Minneapolis Genius, Symbolic Beginnings, Prince 1976, Early Prince, Prince before he was a star. Of the tracks only One Man Jam, Games have true Prince involvement, the latter was written by him. His involvement on Just another sucker is up for question, it sounds like him on vocal, but its not. It is possible him or Andre wrote the song and Prince is likely playing the guitar.

.

Most of the other tracks are Pepe Willie and his group 94East and have no Prince or Andre involvement, it is merely milking the artist. Originally coming out 18 months after Purple Rain, Prince decried the release. Its very average and not essential and reminds me of the numerous fake Jimi Hendrix releases called "Jimi Hendrix 1966" and Jimi Hendrix with Lonnie Youngblood.

.

He was a smalltime soul singer who had a few hits in 1963/64 and Jimi Hendrix was playing rhythm guitar, he played on 2 singles and their Bsides (Walking with Bessie May/Soul food that is a what I like was two of them). Yet these albums will have 16 songs all Lonnie Youngblood and say they are all Jimi Hendrix and that Jimi is even singing! One of the worst, someone had overdubbed wah wah guitar on it, to make them think it was Hendrix and not Youngblood. Then you have companies like Motown who have a habit of releasing marginal early material all the time, if an artist leaves them and has success anywhere else. The Jackson 5 is a great example with Motown product competiting with their new output from Epic and Sony.

.

Unfortunately Prince's death has seem another release and repackaging of this material, the first was in 1986 as 94 East Minneapolis Genius, the 1995's Symbolic Beginnings, another one in 2002, then about 2010 and now this new repackaging. This one has only 13 tracks, usually its a 2 disc thing with the 6 jams that Prince and Andre worked on with a disc of 11 songs that have no Prince involvement.

.

Princes death has seen many dodgy cash in releases, this, the Many faces of Prince 3cd set, the 4 ever album project and now 2 vinyl records of the 1985 Syracuse show with only 12 songs and a 9 song set of Rock in Rio 2. The former shows a graffiti bridge era shot!

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

the Symbolic Beginnings release in the 90s was pretty nice....basically,it's just an expanded version of the original Minneapolis Genuis album, but it was packaged nicely in a purple box with good liner notes.

1 ok song, Just Another Sucker..

If this song had been released as a single in 1977,it might have been a big hit. It's a good song.

Why are there so many assholes on this site? Other fan sites aren't like this. This poster found something new to them. If it's not new to you, then don't comment on it. There's also a reissue of this as a boxset on 180gram vinyl. Enjoy your new cd.

Right on!

3. Lovin' Cup (Willie) Prince on guitar, keyboards and drums

4. Games (ORIGINAL VERSION) (Willie) Prince on guitar

5. Dance To The Music Of The World (Willie) Prince on guitar, keyboard and drums

6. One Man Jam (Willie) Prince on guitar and keyboards

7. If You See Me (Willie) Prince on guitar

8. I'll Always Love You (Willie) Prince on guitar

9. Better Than You Think (Willie) Prince on guitar

10. If We Don't (Willie) Prince on guitar

11. You Can Be My Teacher (Willie) Prince on bass

12. Love, Love, Love (Willie) Prince on guitar and bass

13. Dance To The Music Of The World (REHEARSAL SESSION VERSION) (Wille) Prince on guitar
