The photo of prince on big chick's back, maybe she's referring to that. The background seems like there may have been some commotion.

As a lover, Prince is the best. I’ve spoken to many women who have been to bed with him and they all say the same thing. Prince is something different, something special. He’s uninhibited and wild, in and out of bed, but he can also be tender. Love to him is pure instinct and he’s got the most amazing inner confidence.

During our time together, we became so close it was frightening. It was a deep, intense relationship and sometimes a love-hate one. I often hated the fact that I loved Prince so much. He can get away with the craziest, most bizarre things that other people wouldn’t dream of doing.

One night, for instance, we were at a James Brown concert when Prince suddenly climbed onto his bodyguard’s back and rode onto the middle of the stage knocking over some equipment and singing at the top of his voice. With him it’s always ‘here I am and there I go.’, while everyone else sits back and watches in stunned amazement.

Another time we went to an awards ceremony in Los Angeles. On the way there we drank a bottle of champagne in the back of the car and got very merry. When we arrived, we staggered up this sweeping staircase, hanging on to each other, then rolled all the way down in front of all the well behaved superstars.

I wanted Prince all to myself and he’s not the sort of guy you can hold on to. When it comes down to it, I’m basically an old-fashioned girl who believes in fidelity and trust. I didn’t need other men. I wanted only Prince, and for him to want only me. One day I found out he was seeing other women while we were together and I confronted him with it.

I screamed and cried and pleaded, but it didn’t do any good. So I left Minneapolis without telling anyone where I was going. I still loved Prince, but I knew that our relationship was over. I suffered, but it was the only way, there was nothing else I could do.

It’s difficult for me to watch Prince on the screen. I can’t bear to go and see Purple Rain because I know I’ll break down in tears. I saw the video for When Doves Cry and I just bawled. I still adore him and I don’t think I’ll ever get over him. Not only because he’s so special, but also because I see him everywhere on posters and television all around the world. I’ve had no contact with Prince since we split up.

I’ve had plenty of lovers over the last two years, but none of them have meant anything special to me. They were all casual affairs. I’m finding it hard to meet anyone who can live up to Prince.

I just finished reading the book Possessed and for the life of me I can't understand why this book is held in such high regards by some Prince fans. A lot of the information is pure speculation and some of it out right false, and full of the author's opinions. The author quoted Roy Bennett as saying "Prince wasn't as close with Vanity as he was with Susan Moonsie. There was no way to have a close relationship with Vanity. She wasn't that kind of person." Her statement and Prince's statement that they loved each other deeply would challenge that quote.
That was pure speculation on Roy Bennett's part. How does he know what's happening with Prince?

No need to apologize. Prince was a serial cheater. Don't think anyone would challenge that notion. I don't think it was his nature to be monogamous. He may have wanted it, but he needed to be free in all areas of his life to explore/experiment for his music, the most important thing to him.

[Edited 11/4/16 13:53pm]

Now see I don't see it the same way. I think P was simply young and just making money and with a buffet of women more than happy to sleep with him, some who really liked him and some who merely saw him as a means to an end. I think that some of them misinterpreted his sleeping with them as a "committed relationship" and when he moved on or was with multiple people at the same time their feelings were hurt because they WANTED to be exclusive. I don't think HE thought he was exclusive with them, except the wives. wink

I was wondering the same thing: were they really in an exclusive relationship? Did Prince say that, imply that, or was it assumed; and like you stated if it wasn't stated explicitly, can it really be considered cheating? And just to be clear, I too am not talking about when he was married.

Hey, this is something odd that recently occurred to me, the wives are the only women I could think of who were "love interests" that P only changed their names by marrying them, not by giving them a new full name.

Hmmm

Prince is good at fucking. Is that what passes for kind words? Imagine that at a funeral replacing the usual kind words. "He was a wonderful soul. He respected his elders, loved children, and helped the poor. Also, he was really good at fucking."

That's a bit harsh.

“I never thought, ‘Oh God, I’m in Prince’s shadow,’ ” she told PEOPLE. “He’d been performing for years and he was my teacher. I miss his humor. I always felt we’d be like Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor over the years. I can honestly say I love the kid.” http://people.com/celebri...and-death/

I thought this was cute too from Prince. Prince played an emotional concert in Melbourne on February 16, 2016, which he dedicated to his former lover, Vanity (news of death had been released only hours before he took to the stage).and much of the audience could not understand what he was saying about Vanity. This was when she passed. He said:

“Can I tell you a story about Vanity? Or should I tell you a story about Denise? Her and I used to love each other deeply. She loved me for the artist I was, I loved her for the artist she was trying to be. She and I would fight. She was very headstrong cos she knew she was the finest woman in the world. She never missed an opportunity to tell you that.”

Prince then opened up about a fight where he threatened to throw Vanity in the pool. She said “You can’t throw me in the pool, you’re too little”. He then asked his six foot bodyguard Chick to do the dirty work for him.

“I probably shouldn’t be telling this story,“ he said, “but she’d want us to celebrate her life and not mourn her.”

That book is not held in high regards by the majority of Prince fans .

It's highly regarded by the fans on Prince.org many of whom are anti-fans.

I wouldn't buy anything Hahn sold because he was grinding axes in regards to the Uptown lawsuit.

Wow I have never seen this before! What beautiful words about Prince. I think she captured much of him very well in this.

I also can't not admit that reading her words about him in bed gave me quite the thrill. Lol excited

They were beautiful and sensational together. If only she would've hung in there like Sheila because he would have taken her places beyond her wildest dreams. It's not easy with a musician because historically everybody under the sun wants a piece of them. Vanity was beautiful, smart, and very sweet. I'm glad she spoke the truth about their intimacy because women have been curious.

Did they live together? I ve heard that before, but I'm still not 100 percent sure about that because in one of her interviews, one of her annoyance was that she was living out of a hotel. I would love to know for sure that they did live together for a while though...

Interesting and touching. And places a more personal element on her departure than the sometimes mentioned idea that she was mainly ticked about money. Thanks for sharing it.

I know this is a small part of the whole thing, and not the important part--but is she talking about the infamous Prince/Michael/James all on the same stage moment? It's the only time I've ever heard of him being on stage with Brown, and there is the reference to knocking over equipment, even though at least when he was on stage there wasn't any singing (at least in the video). Or is this another time (and he still managed to knock stuff over again)? If it's the triumvirate one--hmmm. "Stunned" I can understand, maybe even embarrassed "amusement"--but "amazement?"

And now, I find myself compelled to deny that the incident ever occurred, since that's what I've always done in the past. Old jokes are hard to give up.

Especially since it is a known fact that this was Computer Generated Imagery.
So maybe that's a Computer Generated Interview.

They were both way too young and inexperienced. Prince had a whole career he was just starting which would include many experiences. And Vanity had a lot to work through.

I'll add my opinion of the order of his greatest true loves:

Mayte
Vanity
Susannah
Andy
Patrice
I'm not sure where to put Manuela. But she is there.
