Agreed. I don't smoke anymore but after watching that that and the performance of Head from Detroit '86, I needed a cig because damn..

Men find our bodies intriguing and our scent intoxicating, for all that they try to shame us with comments about gravity getting to our boobs or the earthy scent of our fluids, they use every opportunity to crawl between our thighs regardless of how much cellulite. The sniff beneath our breasts or our bras after we come home and weigh our breasts in their palms no matter the droopage.

We are powerful over them. They resent the power we posses. It makes them feel vulnerable. So they try every way they can to ignore it and repress our power. Adam wasn't strong enough to give up Eve. He could have, but he was drowning in the whirlpool of her power even after her sin.

For every man who makes fun of our perceived physical shortcomings, there are other men waiting in line to adore that very aspect of us. They've put chastity belts on us while they went off to fight wars to keep other men away from us. They pay us for the privilege of simply watching us dance and they pay us with the hope of seeing the Promised Land at the apex of our core...either with their bodies or simply their eyes. They bow to our will.

And even though Eve's sin caused our gender's punishment of craving them, they have always craved us...always.

We make men feel some type of way about themselves by our very existence, even the men who don't want us sexually want to be either like us or, at the very least, near us.

Men bask in us as if we are sunlight. They are confused by us, yet they gauge themselves by what they see reflected in our eyes. Our quiet disappointment can destroy them.

We fascinate them. We are the exotic other.

Even the plainest of us. Ever see a plain woman with a hot guy? He knew her secret power. Ever see a big fat gal with a hot guy? He knew her secret power. I could go on and on...women with beards, women with no legs, women with facial deformities...yet they have children. Some man recognized her inherent power. Not only conventionally beautiful women have power, theirs is simply easier to see with the naked eye, but Barbra Streisand and Gabourey Sidibe are sexy as f*ck.

P knew femininity was powerful. That's why he borrowed it in performance and that's why he was drawn to it in his private life and that's why we are seduced by his legacy...even from the great beyond.
