We weren't talking about Black is the New Black - we were talking about the supposed archival Phases, which people think exist merely because Martin Homet drew some pictures.

I am discussing other illustrations that are out for future projects. Along with interviews with people who worked on those projects. I posted a link a few months ago which you can find in the search engine but the link is not working. Prince also had concert shirts made and an Australian promoter is saying he was going to come to Australia in November do one half of the show on the piano and then have a full band.

Would be great to get one more "last" new Prince album as he wanted it to release...

I remember Prince once said on twitter end of 2015 regarding new music "ask warner"...

Always thought he meant HNR 2 but maybe it was another one?!

Would be nice to get some inside info from the people who were around him the last months regarding

the recorded music...

Go to Rolling Stone there is an entire article with interviews with people who worked on those projects.

i've seen a Mononeon interview where he mentions recording new material for an album possibly call Black is The New Black, but he was also on Ruff Enuff. Prince also mentioned a sister track to Ruff Enuff being on the album Free Urself (which could well be phase 3). who knows

Sorry he could have said FreeUself was on the Ep not Ruffenuff. Go and listen to the last couple of podcasts, its on there somewhere.

I'm far more interested in vault stuff than in Phase 3. Phase 1 was an unlistenable shambles, but Phase 2 was surprisingly good and his best new album for years - a fine last album of new material.

Phase 1 was great, even excellent in places... but at least great all the way through.. I can't find joy in the boring Phase 2..

I doubt that WBR's press release would be so poorly worded as to refer to a 2nd disc of the PR set as an "album"; and the statement that the album will arrive "with" Purple Rain does not necessarily mean they will be packaged together; it could just mean that the two projects will be released at the same time.

It's not unlikely that Prince would have given WBR a new album and wanted them to release it alongside these retrospective projects.

I did notice the possible ambiguity of the wording on the WB press release and suspected it had purpose.
It may have been inadvertent ambiguity but perhaps a little fun...
