Can anyone help with transcribing the Electric Chair main riff

Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, and if it's not let me know. First of all, I love this song and this riff, specifically the first 3 chords. But like much of prince's material there is virtually nothing on the internet for this song and the one guitar lesson I found on this song sounds wrong. I think I'm close with the first being like an Fsus2, G5, G, but it doesnt sound quite right either, or the voicings aren't correct or something. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks smile

Keep your hand around open G then the duh duh duh bit is barred DGB at 3 5 6, but on the 6 you do 667 for that Joni Mitchel piano suspension thing, then let the open A string hang and listen to the feedback.

Thats open A but C major on the 5th fret, just mash around G and A really - the G flat major with the E in the bass is compulsory though

Haha thanks for the response, it definately is. Just to clarify, do you mean x0556x -> x0778x?

soz, was being a bit spontaneous, try:

(you know the main bass riff is G blues open, then)

x5oo3x, x7oo5x, x8oo6x then back then yank any available string upwards, then always go for the o44322 as that is the key to most of Prince's pre-1980 output

Ok, so the first chord is definitely a Fsus2sus4 chord played by xx3363, then I think a G11sus played by xx5563, then a G/B played by xx9787. Sounds good enough to me haha a nightmare to figure out. Thanks for helping me finally get there!

Bollocksed if I'm continuing this conversation! Every guitar tab on the internet is shit because the kind of people that type information into the internet are not the type of people who can inately whisper the spirit of post analogue 1980s digital blues into your ear like magic Disney dust or some shite:#

Electric Chair is a notoriously studio based track by Prince that deserves more than a simple run through a simple audio pitch detector algorythm, or some facebook crazy clown meetup, if anything it is a testamet to Prince's sterile studio technique of not having a 12 inch vinyl break your housemate's stylus at 2am in the morning (I'm looking at YOU HANGABLE AUTOBULB)

.

But just mash around the G barred and pretend to be batman that should be enough.

I'd concentrate on the bass part for now, do you own a bass guitar - buy a bass

I know the bass part it's a G min pentatonic riff but yeah it doesn't have much to do with the riff. I've almost certain my final update is correct though thanks for the suggestion though smile
