Ugh. Watching now. It's clearly been rushed, the graphics don't match up at all (when they are talking about the 80's they show a 2014 Prince), etc. And they have annoying music playing not stop that's not even his.

.

I was looking forward to this, but like everything since he passed am left feeling disappointed and empty...

Eventually every cloud runs out of rain.

Thanks for the update. Well, sounds like I didn't miss a thing. Hopefully one day, someone can do an in depth documentary that really does him justice.

Is this the same episode that claimed Prince had relationships with men? Sorry I have no interest in tabloid garbage.

Last night I tried to watch this and had to quickly change the channel as I realized that I wasn't ready to hear about his death the way it was being told on Reelz in the first few minutes I tuned in. I decided to watch the last half hour of it today when it came on repeat. The commentors had some really great things to say about him. It was really nice to hear. Even though it was rushed and probably not the greatest way I would like non fans to know about him, they did touch base on some of his great moments and expounded on what made him an icon. Like I said, not sure what I missed the first half hour, but the second half wasn't horrible to hear. I don't know, I just want to keep hearing about him....

I agree...the first 10 minutes were bad, they open up with the 911 call and the plane landing, and talked about his prescription drug use all gossipy and tabloid like, and quoted the DailyMail lies about the "drug dealer" and P's "stage fright"...but then the next 45 minutes were pretty decent, the commentary was mostly good about his career and some insights into the man himself...they couldve done a better job with the photos, I agree, that they would mix up the pics when talking about diff. periods in his life, like in the 80's, would show 2013 Prince, or Prince at Coachella, or in talking about more recent years, they would show Parade era or 90's Prince...and they kept showing P on the red carpet with Manulea and never said who she was, and they only mentioned Mayte and being married once, didn't talk about the divorces, so I think they were trying to just focus on his music....I did enjoy the quick flashbacks to When Doves Cry, 1999, and Let's Go Crazy videos...next time I will skip the first 10 minutes and the rest is okay....

That episode was Prince:The Secret Life...I didn't like that they didn't edit that part out, it was clearly no basis in fact for that and just some guy's opinion...and some people who don't know or care will just take that guy's word...thats upsetting...but some better parts were the interviews with Van Jones, I liked to hear his insights and stories of Prince...but I bet Van was mad after the documentary came out, I'm sure they interviewed him and he didn't know about the other shady gossipy parts...all edited together he's lumped in with the other people speculating...I'm sure that was not his intent..he only had great things to say about P....

This seems to happen alot with pictures form different erea's to the one they are discussing, even the BBC documentary recently did this. They need a fan just to perhaps point a few of these things out.

Van Jones had some great comments about Prince. Liked his story about what it was like to play Prince in ping-pong, too. yoda
