I thought Keith hated Prince.

To be fair, it's more instulting not to have been slaged off by Keith Richards.

Keith Richards Said:

Prince: “An overrated midget… Prince has to find out what it means to be a prince. That's the trouble with conferring a title on yourself before you've proved it. His attitude when he opened for us... was insulting to our audience. You don't try to knock off the headline like that when you're playing a Stones crowd. He's a prince who thinks he's a king already. Good luck to him."

Regardless, Mick seems like a fan, and Ronie played with him that night in London. Even Keith eventually changed his tune.

They are putting out a blues album next, maybe Prince will be among their choice of covers. I think there was mutual admiration. I would have loved to see them work together.

This argument is silly. For one thing, Prince is his real name. And how was Prince trying to knock off the headline (sounds like jealousy or something) and thirdly, how did PRINCE insult the audience. Wasn't it the other way around. I respect that musicians will sing through insults, beer bottles thrown at them etc and I agree with Mick when he said that Prince was just going to have to learn to handle it. But that doesn't make it right that an audience should be racist and homophobic against an act. Prince was the victim in that case. BEing the "audience" does give a group of people the right to behave like bigoted degenerates.
