Buy everything since Planet Earth.

Don't pay those nutty prices off ebay. Order from amazon or go to a used vinyl store for some good deals.

Why not check out all of them? Decide what you like and don't like.

Try them all. There's amazing stuff in each.

I've been revisiting LOTUSFLOWER (on vinyl!!!!) and 20TEN and enjoying every minute of it.

Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Personally I lost interest from Planet Earth through 20Ten. I tried these albums recently and apart from a few choice cuts they don't do much for me. Art Official Age was a significant comeback in my eyes. I really enjoy the HitNRuns also.

Start with Lotus Flower, Art Official Age and Phase 2.

Just from personal experience, out of his albums post 2007, LotusFlower/MLPSound is one that will make take time to love; at least for me, I felt like I wasted my money when I bought it from Ebay (luckily for only $20), but now I love both CDs. Art Official Age gives me so many emotions, I just love the album. His last two albums are just good to have since those are his last, and his album with 3rdEyeGirl is really good. Bottom line, preview the songs on iTunes and choose for yourself what albums are worth buying for your enjoyment.

I pretty much had the same question several months ago, I now am so glad that I bought them all! What strikes me is how distinct each CD is from the others. Not a turkey in the bunch but I have my preferences. No way to really know what you will end up liking the most until you play each of them repeatedly! There's Joy in Repitition!

AOA was a favorite from the start and gets better every listen. I also like PE. The Hitnruns are just ok with some brighter spots.
I wish I had asked a similar question while trying to fill in my collection from about the mid 90's to about the mid 00's. I just bought COME and wish I had perhaps opted for the gold experience or old friends 4 sale or rave un2 which were my other choices.

Buy them all to understand where he was in his life. Every album mattered.
