LOL. Most of those soundboard shows from the 80's era are in mono "City Lights". Quite frankly, I would listen to them coming out of a cats ass if that was the only way. Thats how I first heard the the "Black Album". True story. Around 92, I had a real piss poor sound quality tape of the orignal NPG 12" (you with "My Tree", and Play"). It's the summer, and i'm playing it for my close friend in my car. Now the sound quality is so low and muffled, I got it EQ'd the best I could do and the volume cranked and it truly sounds like its coming out of a cats ass. So anyways, we are stopped at a red light and this car pulls up besides us and this guy asks us if that noise was coming from my car. We started laughing, to which I said "No, I think its coming from the guy next to me." It was so bad, it was in "The car next to you" quality.

Yeah,the whole show is avaliable now but,it's from eye records and the quality of it is not good.It isn't the same quality as the 11 song snippet.

You're right, the partial mono we had before sounds better. Nice to have more of the show though.

It sounds like the quality has been destroyed by an attempt at noise reduction. That underwater sound from a digital plugin pass.

I'm holding out hope that the show in better quality will be released next week.

Great show (mostly for "Head" & "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" & sound. My only criticism: introduction ("hello Worecester, my name is Prince...) is missing & some songs are (well done) cut: "The Beautiful Ones" & "When Doves Cry".

It's really an odd mix. Wendy's guitar is mixed out for most of the show and many of the prerecorded elements fade in and out.

It sound almost as if it was a surround mix, but only the front two channels were outputted.

I listened to the full show and it's not one of his best shows. He just seems to be going through the motions to some extent, and it's near the end of a long tour when he was burnt out by that time, so it's not surprising. You can't have total magic every night and I'm sure the audience enjoyed it, but just saying not hsi best performance. And not hearing the audience probably makes it feel slightly lower energy..I dunno.

Finally listening to the EYE release and you guys are so right!

Somebody tried to clean this up and make it sound better but ended up making it sound much worse.

The mono sample that leaked earlier sounds MUCH better than this release.
