Cant believe my purple psychedelic pimp slap pimp2

And I descend from grace, In arms of undertow
I will take my place, In the great below

This one is sooooo lovely ad langud and dreamy. I just love it - I play it on a loop when I'm on airplanes on takeoffs to calm me down - it's so beautiful and soothing.

There's something very unique about the 1985-1988 period, or so. While W&L had some influence here and there, they didn't influence everything. You can tell when he was using different sounds, the cloud guitar over his other(s), and the melodies he went after. For the longest time, while we had incredible music from him, it was still par for the course.

Once SOTT came into the mix, you could hear a change in his music. It was a hard 90º turn, whereas before it was more of just a veer to the left or right. Some of it was thinned out a bit, he was finally using space and silence as music, instead of options to be filled. While I don't think The Revolution held him down, he certain set off on a much different course once he put that era behind him.

After all the purpleness up through 1984, ATWIAD & Parade were obviously different takes, but they almost seemed to be a dare, not a purpose. It was a big fuck you, as described before. Once the Dream Factory, CB, SOTT stuff started to happen, little by little, the new route was clear, and he ran with it. "Adonis and Bathsheba" was an early mile marker for that.

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

Over the past couple of years this has become one of my favorite songs.

I really hope this gets an offical release, I'm worried though that if Susan Rogers is involved she might discard this beautiful creation.

One of my favourite Prince songs. Beautiful and unique. I can't think of anyone other than Prince who could have written and recorded this.

Why would she do that?

she may be a good sound engineer but I wouldn't rate her musical ear to be a Prince afficionado, Wendy and Lisa would be a better fit for choosing the songs.

They would choose songs they worked on. For the sake of their own legacy.

The fans should be able to choose/vote on the songs to be released instead of one person a few people's opinion on what they like. Doubt it will happen but it's the best scenario for all involved.
