My ex-boyf. and I were having problems when P. died; we had basically broken it off but it was P's passing, initially, that made me want to try again with him; he looked a bit like Prince (no, I wasn't with him because of that, lol)! It was just such a sad, sad time, I felt I needed closeness in my life...

Anyway...

My ex wasn't a big fan but after all the stuff started showing up on YouTube, he was undoubtedly impressed by P's musicianship. However, as the weeks went by, and he wasn't being remotely KIND about my feelings of loss (or, indeed, kind about ANYTHING) it became clear it wasn't going to work out between us.

The final straw was when he yelled at me, something along the lines of 'Just get over it! The purple midget's dead!'

Yes - he may be dead, but your HEART is also stone-cold! Goodbye and good riddance! mad biggrin

My ex-significant other refuses to even listen to Prince. Which is really funny because they have many similarities in worldview and sensibilities! I haven't given up, just waiting for another opportunity to reintroduce Prince. evillol Just doing my part in expanding Prince's legacy wink lol

Thank you. Yes indeed. I'd rather be alone than lonely with a partner like that, if you know what I mean...

Yes, that was a good call Dibblekins! Nothing worse than being lonely inside a relationship.

2 of m 3 ex-significant others (the first one who I was with for 17 years and the last one) are huge fans of Prince. It was awesome being with somebody who wanted to travel to loads of his shows (and of other artists we both love too as we had similar taste in music apart from Prince too) and to be with someone who was willing to check about aftershows and things like that. Still as they are also the 2 men who completely broke my heart I hope I will never fall in love with another fan of Prince in life again sad .

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

My wife and I loved PRINCE together, matter of fact I took my wife to her first ever concert featuring "THE MAN", ever since then we would go when we could (after the child and all).

The first concert was a trip, Jones Beach, a nice breezy afternoon, he came in on a boat from far out, the music was playing prepping us to jam, and then the lights went down, the camera showed him docking the boat, then come up on the dock, then the curtain opens and BAM.

My wife (then fiance) took my hand to feel her chest and it was pumping ferociously, so I knew she was happy, then......she slid my hand further down under her skirt to her leg, and it was hot & wet (no pun intended), at that point, I didnt know how to feel about another man making my girl feel that way, but...... it was PRINCE, awwwwwwwe fuck it.

Needless to say it was a great show, a great night, and something we both will never forget.

My wife likes the hits for the most part, and she really likes Starfish and Coffee, She's Always in My Hair, and Sexy MF. But she gets lost in what she calls "the weird stuff." Even after ten years of marriage, I guess eight minutes of "Xpert Lover, my baby" still just isn't appreciated. So damn sad we never got to go see him together (I only got to see him once in 2001). Checking his tour schedule was like a normal routine.

Love ya'll,

Bp
