Who the hell is he?

A young musician from Australia. Prince kinda liked him and even invited him to Paisley Park. Some of his songs have a little bit of that mid 80s 1999/Purple Rain era electronic vibe.

I´m not very familiar with his work but I like what I´ve heard so far.

He´s still pretty young so I don´t know what direction he´s going these days.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Sorry, but that's not a specific Prince look.

It's more of psychedelic 60's London style.

Jimi Hendrix, the Kinks, The Who, The Beatles at some point and even The Rolling Stones
dressed like that.

Pheew, we almost got another ass-licking clone wandering in the studios.

Wow.

Now there's an offensively homophobic vulgarity.

Must be a French thing.

yeahthat

I'm very grateful to Prince for bringing him to my attention, and taking interest in him when he was on the verge of quitting music. I enjoy seeing Prince's influence on him because Prince's legacy will live on through the artists he inspired.

Prince, you saved me at a time when I was done with music. You brought me into your home and gave me belief, hope and confidence in myself. I'm truly blessed to have known you and spent time learning from you. Thank you for the life of music. All Love. 💜

Harts is a great artist in his own right. The constant comparisons to Prince are getting monotonous.

Homophobic?

When did I ever? Sorry, I meant "kissing ass".
In France, it's translated in "lèche-cul".

Meaning absolutely no offense.
It's the italian way to say "was yet another musician needed in Paisley Park"?
Prince is not known to provide the environment for an artist to really blossom.
They always ended up being his own visions.

I meant "don't feed the cannibal".

Now that's some reply.

I don't have a narrow view of northern America, at least I don't think I have.
I take shortcuts because they're graphic, they get straight to the point.
I'm guilty of that, they sound like generalizations and stupid shortcuts.
What can I say, I have a very dark humour.

I think european orgers get it more, maybe.
I still try to find an equilibrium to it,
what can I say, I like funnies.
But this was gratuitous, poor boy,
I wish him the best, to make a living of his art.

I hope some of my posts exsude a little the love I truly have for the org and its members,
even if on sensible subjects we can get on each other nerves pretty fast
depending on the orger. And depending on how the native tongue gets in the way of the initial meaning.

If you read my a little here and there, it looks my unstoppable enthusiastic logorrhea
is what I use get either shut up cuz I'm plain wrong,
or be teached something.

I've been too harsh on the guy, sorry again.
But I'm really partial to protégés.
Paisley Park Records could have been Joni's label,
or some dream like that.
To use it as a chocolate factory was an error.

Harts is a great songwriter, guitarist and vocalist. Check out Daydreamer. He also has a new album out September 16. Prince did indeed endorse him and commented that he reminded him of a young Prince (late 70s, very early 80s) trying to find his sound. So, if the comparisons to Prince are coming from anywhere, they're coming from Prince himself. Harts used the quote from Prince on promotional material for a couple years.

I agree, I have all his tunes. His guitar face, movement, etc are highly modeled after Prince (sometimes overboard), even his new album is called Smoke Fire Hope Desure.....Dance Music Sex Romance anyone? smile

For those that do not have his albums, grab em, very very satisfying with an 80's type flare to it.

I do't see it. I think it's an over-affectation people draw on him.

-- What the fuck are you talking about? Prince invited this talented young man up to Paisley Park to jam right when he was ready to quit. He did not work on his album or interfer with his career.

His site has since been updated to promote the new album he has coming out September 16, but you can see the older homepage with the Prince quote here:

Harts is cool. I think most of his music thus far has been really good. Who knows what they did in the Studio (if anything). But I hope Prince covered "Leavin it all behind" and/or "Lovers in Bloom".

What can I say, LBrent's got a crush on me.

He's not bad at all, an honest craftsman.
it's kinda hard to wear the Prince comparison off
when a musician displays multi-instrumental ambitions.

Above all, he seems like a nice fellow.
I'm sorry I thought he was just a poser.

Listen, I don't come to your job and knock dicks out of your mouth, so please don't come to mine (helping to clear misunderstandings), and mess with me while I'm doing mine. There's nothing wrong with dabbling in the anal arts, my friend. Stop seeing insults where there are none.

I think you just passed human decency.

Foul language is apparently something you eager to deserve, it's the only explanation
for crossing the line so inelegantly.

I'll put that on account of Skipper's shaft withdrawal symptoms.
