Did Prince Achieve the "Office of Overseer"?

Came across this bible passage tonight and it reminded me of Prince.
It seems to fit him pretty well.
What do you think?

1 Timothy 3:1-16 ESV

The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? ...

It reminds me of his temperament.
Forget the husband of one wife thing, you don't have to be married.
The rest of it describes him pretty good.

This world is filled with "office of overseers"...even if he was, doesn't make him special to do what Gods intentions of what a man is suppose to be.

I can imagine that he would have been flattered (or deeply humbled) that this passage made you think of him, angel. cool

The word "Overseer" reminds me of slavery days. No. I wouldn't put Prince in that catagory at all. neutral

I don't even think he made it to "MINISTERAL SERVANT". Furthermore they(Jws) dont use this terminology anymore, but they used to long ago. Here's their hiearcy: And yes I was raised as a Jehovah Witness!

1. Unbaptized publisher
2. Baptized publisher
3. Ministeral Servant
4. Elder
5. Circut overseer
6. District Overseer
7. Member of the governing body
