Whenever I saw these thread pop up, they raised my anxiety, because I've had dreams revolved around Prince. And after April 21st I did not want any.
Last night I had one...

I dream in color and they tend to be very vivid, to the point I can feel texture, and smell.
It was daytime and I and a big crowd of people were outside of a building that could have been Paisley Park or outside Carnegie Hall

wow Purple Rain(song) just came on the radio...while I was typing this.

1980s Prince band members and proteges were among us

and Prince came down or out of the building. It seemed like he just appeared or he descended.
And he was like the Parade Prince I don't remember where the colors fit, but the colors he wore were black white gold & purple. He had on a ruffled shirt but with no sleeves. the pants had the buttons on them. And he seemed to walk/float right above the ground. He was talking to everyone(but it was like no one saw him until after he came to them) he skipped, spun, danced to each individual and whispered something to them that made them realize he was there and they/we began to smile.

Early in the dream I had a feeling of dread(for me it is that feeling you feel when you go over that first drop of a rollercoaster) and near the end it was happy/celebratory but also a touch of melancholy. and then I woke up.

Thank you for sharing this Oldfriends. I have had many dreams about Prince in the few months prior to his passing. The scenarios were in different places, but were all mainly about him being surrounded by a small crowd of people (journalists, fans, musicians, etc.) then he would leave that crowd (presumably after a show, except I don't attend any show in the dream), always ending up locking himself on his own inside a small room of a concert venue or a small cubic room with no windows and me desperately trying to reach him, and to open that door, knocking on it, etc unsuccessfully. The dreams have a sense of claustrophobia and frustration (on my part) and always took place at night.

Once, one of these similar dreams was very vivid. It was also set at night, but on the sea front of my home town in France. At the end of that dream, Prince goes into the lift that goes up to the casino upstairs terrace. Except all I see in the dream is him going into that downstairs lift and looking at me through the glass before going up. Then I wake up.The lift exists in reality but it has opaque metal panels, not glass (image of the casino below - the entrances to the lift are located on the right in the curved parts at the front central part of the building).

Since 4/21, I have only had 1 dream which was merely him looking like in one photo from the photo thread but just a replicate of that black and white photo of him from the Parade era with tight lycra trousers and the diagonal row of buttons at the front, except in the dream he is standing in front of me and moving but it was a very short irrelevant dream.

I've had 2. I was really hoping I would have one thinking it would make me feel a little better about the situation, however both left me feeling worse when I woke up
