It's hard for me to limit it to just one song but if I could choose just one it would be the 3121 song itself. I love the weird, altered vocals. On another day, I might have chosen Satisfied or The Dance or Lolita or any other song from the album. Except The Word. I don't like The Word.

Can u say why you don't like The Word?

Just one? Seriously?!

I'm gonna throw dice... 3121, Lolita, Te Amo Corazón, Black Sweat, Incense and Candles, The Word.

I'm a female btw.

Just don't like the religious element of it. Musically, it's decent but not great. For me, it's not good enough to warrant sitting through a sermon.

ALL OF THEM!!! I fell in love with this album and got it the first day it came out. It was a very good time in my life, and I think it's because of this album. I fell in love with Lolita especially. I also enjoyed his 3121 performance with Tamar on the BET awards during this time.... *sigh* I miss those days... Anyway, I'm glad this album is finally getting the love it deserves on here though. I remember when it came out and a lot of people didn't care for it. They weren't as mean towards it as they were LotusFlower though...

Also... The Word is stellar. The lyrics are beatiful and still ring true to me today. And I love the guitar on it as well. Oh! I can't forget Incense and Candles and BL&B. Two beautiful songs. P sounds soooo good on Incense and Candles. The way he coos "I've been waiting for you baby all night long,"..... faint heart

Love. And the acoustic outtake is even better than the album version.

Decided to mess around and make a playlist of the early version of the album (excluding "Streets of Panama") and it is really good. "Black Sweat" should have stayed in its position under "Incense & Candles" and "The Morning After" gives the album a different feeling.

Gotta say, it would've been a nice album...especially without "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed". Add "Fury" and it would be completely perfect.

Although to me the album is still my 2nd fave as is.

(I'll shut up about 3121 now boxed )

you know what's crazy? In the past three weeks, I have received 3 receipts that all totalled $31.21. Twice it was at Target getting misclleaneous back-to-school stuff. Most recently, it was yesterday. I received the bill getting lunch, hit the 15% button for the tip, and it came out to exactly $31.21. I can't lie, It's fucking with me. What are the odds?

Ditto. People don't seem to acknowlege how epic that track is. If someone like Bieber releaaed it today, it would be a smash.

I Loooovvvveee that track!!! 3121 is one of my favorite Prince albums, There isn't really anything on there that I don't like. One of his most solid albums IMO.

I'm surprised that no one is saying 'Get On The Boat', solid track. It's infused with that James Brown funk. I really love this entire album.

I'll say it - "Get On The Boat"! "Don't you wanna come?" I love how he integrated that sly, inviting phrase from the title track within the final song on the album. After 3 somewhat somber/reflective tracks the album closes with a bang amidst those powerful horns and a strong feature for Maceo. I also loved his harmonies with Tamar, she is quite an underrated protege. I got to see him perform it live on Good Morning America with an early morning visit to NYC, I was so happy he chose that one.

Just a solid record, front to back.

3121 because of that Michael B and Sonny T rhythm section that we all knew and loved from songs like Days O' Wild.

Black Sweat because it's just a Prince electro-funk classic.

Love and The Word are incredible and up there with his very best.

Lately, Get On The Boat has been showing up a lot on shuffle, and that groove just about leaves me on the floor by the end. SICK. I'll go with Get On The Boat (today).
