I was at the party and the only reference he made to the plane incident was the waiting a few days to send prayers remark. He started off talking in the L4OA/NPGMC room. He said if it wasn't for Kirk, the P & AM shows wouldn't be possible. He said he loved him like a brother. He went on to say he wanted to release an album of the 2nd Atlanta show and that they were cleaning it up of screaming from the audience. He said he wanted to do a few more shows first. They played the first 30 minutes for us later that night. He asked us to go to the soundstage because he wanted to show us something. He did not seem annoyed or in a bad mood to me. On his way to the soundstage he stopped and a lady had brought flowers for him. He whispered something to her, but didn't take the flowers. Once we were in the soundstage he had the piano uncovered and played a little bit of Chopsticks. He then brought out a purple guitar case and set it on the piano. He acted like he was afraid to open the case. He did and pulled out the guitar and told us he hadn't played it yet, because he was focusing on the piano. He told us about the time he went on tour with Tamar in 2006 and that his guitar playing got a lot better then, since that was all he was focusing on. He scolded some guy that was recording him with his cellphone and said "You're not supposed to be doing that". He was like, "You are going to erase that, right?". Security came and got the guy and escorted him out. After that Prince went back to the L4OA room and sat on the stairs and listened to the recording of the Atlanta show and talked to Tyka.

Thanks for the clarification.

Something thats bothered me is that "I am transformed tweet" that went around. It was even printed on the cover of the Essence tribute magazine. That wasn't a personal tweet. It was a copy and paste from a fan that tweeted him.

i think i want ya

Wow. Thank you for explaining for us. In retrospect, I wish I could have been there. Did you have any kind of feeling that would be the last time you would see him? sad

Absolutely not. The party was advertised as the first for the summer, meaning more were to come. Prince had plans to do more shows, release an album from P&AM, enjoy his new piano, and one day play his new guitar. All this talk about Prince knowing he was going to die is BS, imo of course. I feel very fortunate to have seen him one last time and see him play a little on the piano. sad

I just keep thinking about him alone at night in Paisley Park, self-administering a heavy-duty painkiller, having been through a serious emergency that almost took his life at a hospital a few days earlier. He had kept his private life away from us for so long, I think he absolutely knew that his time was up at least subconsciously and was just doing his best not to let it on in a public way.

You are very fortunate to have been there
Also nice to hear first hand he was planning on being around and not like he was close to death. Agree 100% with your opinion

Thanks! I guess people that know they are dying deal with it differently, but I just can't see him hopping around the globe doings shows, signing a multi million deal to write his memoir just a month prior, and basically just having plans for the future if he knew he was dying.

I just think this was all a terrible accident and Prince never meant for it to happen.

I think the same thing. My friends and family thought I held it together pretty well when I found out he past but inside I felt devestated. sad I wish this was all a bad dream.

Me too! The sudden loss of our Prince left me devestated (as well as his millions of fans, or "friends" as he referred to us). I never felt this way about any other musician. He was the "mozart" of our time and a huge loss. Prince loved life and his music too much to ever hurt himself.

quite eerie, of course, now some knucklehead will come in and say "aww, everyone knew" no they didn't. I've always felt that us artists are in touch with other realms.
