Prince's politics

As much as I love his music speaking about social issues, his stance about not voting bothered me 2 effect change. confused

He recognised and felt sad because of all the injustice and suffering that takes place, and he tried to help where he could, but he also realised that the real solution doesn't come from man. He put his trust in God to set everything straight. Whether you share this belief or not, that's what motivated Prince to "vote for God" so to speak rather than imperfect men or women. smile

Jehovah's Witnesses don't vote. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Dont care. I easily seperated politics/religion from music. Even the songs that i might not care for the "message", i could appreciate musically. Prince was actually pretty tame politically.

Tame compared to whom? Not many artists 2day release a song like Baltimore, which, I thought was a powerful song about the injustices of the police force and his statement regarding black lives matter whenever he presents awards. I admired him for that. It's one thing I miss about his sudden passing especially with what's going on right now in our country.

Probably the best gift the Jehovah Witness religion gives the rest of us is its constituents not voting. I wish more religions would do the same.

I wish I knew why they don't vote. I have relatives who are Jehavah Witnesses and I think they vote. In fact I didn't know Jehovah Witnesses didn't vote until Prince said it on Tavis promoting Lotusflo3r.

Beautiful, Loved and Blessed

Thank You Prince
