.

The "Purple Rain house" had been known as his property from the first list; I was just surprised he had recently purchased it. I can't imagine leaving it where it is; maybe move it to PP and fix it up?

The industrial building could be the warehouse holding even more of his tour items/extra paperwork/vault items.

Kirk Johnson and Larry Graham supposedly lived in homes owned by Prince.

so sad looking at all this property and knowing Prince is gone...nice to see that he let his family live in some of them.

Neat article. I never knew he owned so much property.

Tis sad. More "proof" he's left us I guess?
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

I have a question: why did he tear down those two residences? Bad memories? Structural issues? That yellow home looked gorgeous.

That...and he wanted to keep the property.

I'd have done the same if I didn't want to sell them; they'd be sitting vacant, requiring maintenance and security.

There's always the funny story about him tearing down the Galpin house and having the pieces shipped to Manuela in big trucks...but I'm sure that's a fantasy.

The Star-Tribune has a story (another quirky Princey style thing) about how the sale occurred:

I found it sad too. Whatever plans he had for the house may never happen.
