I came to an early conclusion: he used everything. He seemed so GIGANTIC.

It wasn't until later that I began reading words like "diminutive" -- and I realized that he did have to work harder so people would focus on the totality of him. I didn't know, for years, that he was actually a very small person.

His physicality was interesting. He looked TALL when standing alone or in front of others.
He was gangly. His arms, legs and fingers were long for his totality.

I think he finally came to understand that no one cared about his height. He dated taller women, he appeared onstage with Cee-Lo Green (and looked like a tiny toy guitar player in the "Crazy" video -- so cute!).

Wasn't it Alan Leeds who challenged him to just come out in jeans and a shirt, at a piano? He said Prince seemed frightened by that.
