Falling deeper in love with tracks on HNR Ph2

Well, isn't that just how Prince's later work is.
At first I heard HNR Ph2 and thought it was no big deal, in fact quite boring.
But a tune called "Revelation" caught my ear enough (because I love his ballads) that I gave that another listen. And another. And another. Until I was taking drives in my car for no reason other than to listen to it.

Then by accident I heard the next song ("Big City") and the one after that (track 1, "Baltimore") and the beats caught me then the vocals and lyrics.

Tonight I realized I knew a lot of the words to the other tracks too. Huh! I must've been inadvertently listening to those too! "Rock N Roll Love Affair" is so much fun and "When She Comes" is another beautiful ballad.

I'm really grateful that at 50, Prince and all of you have fostered my appreciation for music again.

I was a serious violinist from ages 8-22 then put it down. It was my everything. I also always loved to sing and had a beautiful voice but stopped singing a few years ago when "life happened". This has been a great learning experience for me...all of it and has gotten me interests again but in a much newer way. All the bands and performers I never knew about and the business...the whole nine yards.

Thank you Prince and the org!

First time I listened to HITnRUN2, I said, "Now where has this guy been all this time????" So, now I'm going back to all the projects I refused to buy because frankly, after Rainbow Children, I was spent. Song after song was totally boring and/or condescending towards people, society, the system, you name it. I couldn't take it any more. But now, I just finished listening to HNR1 and AOA, and damn...."Where has this guy been????" Funkiest and most heartfelt music I've heard him put out since Warner Brothers.

With this reaction also came a deep sense of hurt, cuz I don't know what finally brought him back, but I wish I was there when it happened....smh.
