Maybe I was a bit harsh on the album though. I'd also take off the song "Planet Earth" and perhaps make it a b-side, or position it differently on the album.

You're not. Planet Earth has some of the poorest songwriting I've ever heard Prince compile into one record. It's a consistent album. It's just so consinsently damned bland. No hooks. No riffs. Bleh.

Stay off the chronic shit man. Planet Earth is a brilliant album, notwithstanding the lack of funk which seems to be the marker of quality for a many orgers.

Hitnrun Phase 2, 3121 is great too, but now 10 years and 5 months old, making it ineligible and Planet Earth the oldest eligible.

.

Worst album - a tie between 21 Nights disc, Indigo nights and the Bria Valentine album.

Rankings from my list

.

HNR Phase 2 - 89/100

AOA - 81/100

20Ten - 78/100

Planet Earth - 72/100

Lotusflow3r -71/100

MPLsOUND - 68/100

Plectrum Electrum - 67/100

HNR Phase 1 - 61/100

Indigo nights - 25/100

.

Bria Valente - Elixir - 46/100 (Not really counted)

.

The mark for 3121 was also 81, but this album is 10.30 years old and does not count.

Yo get off the nerd train.

Lotusflow3r by a landslide. The guitar work on this album is the craziest Prince ever put on an album. Love the fact that tracks with Michael B and Sonny ended up surfacing. And throw in some classic sped-up vocals on $ - this album is a modern classic. . I associate this album closely with Prince's first Montreux appearance, which was also stellar. My favorite soundboard bootleg. [Edited 7/16/16 12:34pm]

Going with lotus Flow3r as well as my favorite of the last 10 years. I paid it no attention when it was first released. One day a year later I listened to it wihout skipping etc and was blown away. Maybe I was upset about Mplsound that I really didnt give it a chance but Lotus is hell of an album and more than just filler. Wall Of Berlin, Boom, Crimson and Clover, Dreamer, Colonized Mind, even The Morning After are killer....as well as the intro and outro Back To The Lotus....wonderful work.

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

It was clearly on 3121 for the most part, but I am really digging Plectrum. Would have been so nice to have more of that sound from him. Fresh to hear him doing heavy guitar again.

We are all so full of doody here

26ten

Oh man good question.

I'd say 20ten. Seems quite underrated by many here in the states. Actually no one really has heard it here so much. I love every track though.

With that said I love lots of his last 10 years material. I think he was gonna come up with some really kickass stuff if he had been around still. I wonder what he was working on near the end?

I like the idea of ranking... so here is mine (at the moment) biggrin

1. AOA (as stated above, harkens back to a classic concept album..not a bad track-except still not feeling "what it feels like"...

2. Lotus (heavy guitar... organic...such a nice flow...great headphone album)

3. HnR2 (so many great songs..."revelation" is an all-time great and love "groovy potential")

4. MPLS (really has grown on me lately...especially loving "Better with Time"

5. 3121 (used to be higher, but I have really been into Lotus/ MPLS lately)

6. 20ten (this has really grown on me... especially like "future soul song" and "laydown")

7. HnR1 (really like "June" and "Hardrocklover")

8. Planet Earth (admitedly, probably has received the least play on the list...my plan is to give it another shot soon...but love "somewhere here on earth"

9. Plectrum (love the idea... "anotherlove" and "wow" are great..but there r some on here that effectively sink this album to the bottom for me...but this album is still al lot better than most other albums coming out these days!)

AOA is, I believe, the one I am going to continue listening to regularly the longest. I love Hitnrun 2 as well, folowed by Lotusflower and 3121. And a lot of tracks from all the others!

All of these are mine. In no particular order.

I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore...
