I always wished Prince would've done a proper covers album when he was still alive (who knows, maybe he did and it's sat in The Vault somewhere?).
I know some people think covers albums are lazy, but they can be really cool, fun little side projects. Always loved Tori Amos's Strange Little Girls and GNR's Spaghetti Incident. [Edited 7/6/16 23:52pm] |

Seeing all these diverse suggestions just reinforces again how versatile and excellent a performer/musician/singer he truly was! Yes, he would have done amazing versions of all these songs, in all genres. Seeing the threads about Chris Martin-Lianne La Havas duet, D'Angelo, etc. just remind me that most musicians, even through talented, do not have the range and ability to pull-off everything - most have one, narrow lane that they (should) stay in. | |
