Aww DarlingKris hug No You're not alone wink

hug I stopped crying. Had to think about the conversation about Prince's crotch on the thread about him being on here all the time and now I can't breathe because I'm laughing so hard

Yes I just told my son the same thing....the comments on FB are very sweet. Alot of people miss Prince.

It makes me feel good to see how minneapolis loves and celebrates him. What a wonderful relationship between a man, his art and a city.

You know it is wonderful that he was a superstar and still chose to stay in his hometown...he never forgot his city and that says alot about him as a man cool

Gotta be honest, I thought they were horrible. Definitely not "choreographed," either. And way too short. πŸ‘ŽπŸΏπŸ‘ŽπŸΏ

I was streaming the music on one device and watching the live feed on the other. I assumed it was not choreographed due to lag. Guess not.

Just got back from "Red, White & Boom" and well......it's the thought that counts, right? lol

Seriously, Minneapolis' fireworks always disappoint on the Fourth IMO. The Aquatennial "Oh Ahh" display is much better.

I was hoping the fireworks were synchorized to his music-- I was looking for dove and raspberry shapes and twinkling purple streaks light up the night. But instead it was just a bunch of snippets to listen to while watching a pretty underwhelming display. neutral If I knew that were the case, I'd have made my own Prince mix to bliss out to while watching it. I'd have had "Beautiful Night" and a bunch of other jams!

Oh well, like I said, it's the thought that counts! razz

Funny that you asked this. As we were driving home, my mom was reading this biker's T-shirt on the road beside us. She goes "I..only...wanted...to...see you...laughing?? Wonder what that means...?" I said, "IN THE PURPLE RAIN! It's Prince tee!!" LOL!! She never knew the actual lyrics beyond "Purple R\rain, purple rain..." lol That made me smile, for some reason.

That's what I was going to say. Oh well at least they tried. I'm glad the city hasn't forgotten all about him already. I'm glad he's still getting love and respect. And I wasn't too disappointed since my entire weekend more or less sucked anyway so I guess it was a fitting end. Hardly worth the hour drive there and back again, but I love Mpls anyway so I didn't really mind.

I'm the once who announce this and *I* lost track of the time. Boo!

It turned out that watching live on KARE and streaming The Current wasn't too bad...after the fact wink

The Facebook comments were coming in so fast from all over.

Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Is there anywhere you can watch those Minnespolis Fireworks for Prince? I'm in North Carolina and of course, knew absolutely nothing about it. If ANYBODY downloaded any of them and would be willing to share, it would be so great! I'll bet they were beautiful in purple!!!! And to hear Prince too would have been way too cool.
