What were Prince's favorite movies?

I heard that he was a fan of 'Inside Out', 'The Matrix' & 'Zootopia' so far.

i don't know, he seemed to be a 30's film buff, in UTCM you could see that, he did the bela lugosi thing, the chaplin run, and I also think he copied some of elvis' early movies in pr and UTCM. for some reason, people loved elvis' movies more than they liked his music, prince probably liked both equally. We know the lines in his songs, valentino, clara bow, people most of us know little about, he was at least familiar with. He also seems to have been up on current movies at the time of the 90 RS interview, he mentioned wall street. I wonder how he had time to watch movies, I watch a lot but i don't have the time to watch as much as the average person, I couldn't see Prince just watching movies all day.

That does not surprise me in the slightest. First time I watched it, it had me thinking of Prince for some reason. Great movie.

I don't know if he got a chance to watch Zootopia or not? He said he wanted a special place and time for that, so I wonder if he ever got the chance. I know when I watched it there were things that made me think of him, like the little bunny's purple eyes.

ya, some lady who was interviewed, said something like "he loved that movie about the guy from a long time ago". I could see him identifying with the character, especially the reply from mozart when one of the guys said "you are not the only composer in vienna" and Wolfie said "yeah, but I'm the best" it's prince in the 1800's.

If we are talking about Mozart, I use to think he was really attractive back in Elementary School. I liked Mozart, Beetoven and I think there was a composer named Alexander. Hm, I can't remember but I did find Mozart attractive.

Prince was born in the 50's now. It would make sense that he would older films. My mom is that same way. She watches older films as well. She likes that stuff.

I wonder if he liked 'Gone With The Wind'. My mom introduced me to that & I enjoyed it. I can see Prince dancing along to a 'The Sound Of Music' soundtrack. I like that movie as well. <3

That is one of my favorite cartoon movies. I watched Inside Out because of him. I was thinking about that movie today when I recieved my food. The package reminded me of a scene from the movie. It was very abstract just like that abstract scene from that movie. I spent a really long time looking at it. Haha, I am weird.

I cried when i first watched it because of the way they ganged up on Sadness. She was always doing something she had no business. I just knew that somebody spied on me when they came up with that character.

There was an article recently that did side-by-sides of the costumes in Amadeus with the Purple Rain outfits. Same style.

he was big into barbarella around the time of the love symbol album. He named his keyboard player after it and showed clips in the beautiful experience film (video).

Gone With the Wind? I wouldn't guess that as "possible old film Prince would have liked."

I read somewhere that at one point he was a fan of David Lynch's work. After becoming JW he steered toward more PG-rated movies though.

Prince likes Finding Nemo & Inside Out. How in the WORLD is that far fetched?

I figured he liked little romantic films like that. He always likes things dealing with love, peace, happiness & etc.

I traced back that jpeg to a vimeo video someone made that argues they're the exact same story with corresponding footage on each side of the screen. Not sure if I could post it due to rights, but pretty cool, watching now.

I LOVE THAT FREAKING MOVIE. I went to go see it in the movies many years ago & then I went back to the movies to see the second one. I got one of those little penguins as gift from a family member one day. That movie is SO GOOD. Prince's vocals are life during the credits.
