Hello everyone, a longtime lurker, finally coming out of my shell.
Only that it's a tad too late. :-|

As mentioned many times before, it's impossible to truly know him, I think p claimed that even his colleagues and friends were not privy to who he really was or something to that effect, and I respect that kind of sentiment. After all, does anyone really really know U?

So we can only pierce together what little information we've got and gifts he generously gave us...my two cents is I'm always floored by the gap of his shyness that's apparent in his early interviews and people's accounts and out-out-there! stage personality. Because of the magic prince worked on all of us, I can deeply relate to both sides of his personality.:-)

And his passion shined throughout his life and in my unqualified opinion, it was second to none! That must have hurt him sometimes but I think that's what made him so alive. I tend to picture him as a romantic who sought love both in women and God. As a reluctant atheist & cynic this is what I most admire.

I loved his humor, his facial expressions (as stated earlier this thread), his honesty (at least I think he was) and the fact that he made it possible for himself to do whatever he wanted. He had a goal and he reached it I think.
Furthermore he came across as an intelligent, sensible and sensitive person.

The ability to be cooly arrogant whilst retaining humility and humanity. Beautiful and strange. X
