Honey baby, you truly know it. You truly know it.
You look good. Tryin' your best to show it.
If I were you, I would. True love and affection.
These are nice, so nice but when a money man walks in the room, girl, you look more than twice.
You look once, you look twice. Can I rap to you sugar tonight?

(chorus)
Donald Trump (black version), maybe that's what you need.
A man that fulfills your every wish, your every dream.
Donald Trump (black version), come on take a chance.
A 1990's love affair, the real romance.

Honey baby, you are the finest. I have seen.
And your disposition's so kind you're never mean.
Girl, you're to good to be true. But last night when you were asleep, you slipped big time.
I heard you. You said your favorite color was green.
So guess what?

(repeat chorus)

Now look here baby. I ain't tryin' to be 90 proof.
But a super strong woman. She needs a super strong dude.

Sweet words of love are helpful.
But what goes a lot farther than that?
A hundred dollar dinner at Adriano's?
A brand new coat or a brand new hat?
Yes, I can do this!

... Donald Trump (black version), maybe that's what you need.
Come on, come on take a chance.
.... A man that fulfills your every wish, your every dream.
I can fill your every dream, baby.
.... Donald Trump (black version), come on take a chance.
You and me, baby... and me!
.... A 1990's love affair.
So many things.
... The real romance.
So many things.

.... Diamonds and pearls.
I wanna buy you things.
.... (Oooooh, I can hear you talkin' to me baby)
.... Maybe that's what you need.
Cuz I want all the other girls to bug.
.... A man that fulfills your every wish.
My name is Morris, baby.
.... Your every dream.
And I dig you. And when I dig somebody.
.... Donald Trump (black version).
They stay dug.
.... Come on take a chance.
They stay dug baby.
.... A 1990's love affair, the real romance.

I..., I..., I..., I got what you need baby.
Come on baby, come on take a chance.

oops, looks like someone has already peaked the curiosity
Wow and this was just a day after that heartbreaking day on the 21st of April

Hear Prince and the Time's 1990 Song About Donald Trump

"Donald Trump (Black Version)" was part of a "black re-write of 'Wall Street'," says Prince biographer

By Tessa Stuart April 22, 2016
"Donald Trump (Black Version)" was written by Prince with Morris Day and Jerome Benton of the Time.

Among Prince's many interesting qualities was the fact that he never used his celebrity to advance his political views — whatever those might have been. He didn't vote, as he told PBS's Tavis Smiley in 2008, and he refused to participate in efforts even as uncontroversial as the "We Are the World" fundraiser to fight famine in Africa.

It's unlikely, then, that he would have much to say about the 2016 election or any of the candidates in it, but back in 1989 Prince did help write a song about today's Republican frontrunner.

BuzzFeed rediscovered "Donald Trump (Black Version)," a sultry R&B ballad Prince crafted with Morris Day and Jerome Benton of the Minneapolis funk group the Time. It appeared on the band's 1990 album Pandemonium, but was originally intended for a shelved concept album called Corporate World.

According to Prince biographer Matt Thorne, Corporate World's title track, "perhaps surprisingly for a record (and a band) who have always boasted about their enjoyment of the high life, has lyrics that could be recited at an 'Occupy Wall Street' demo."

"Donald Trump (Black Version)" was ostensibly intended to exist in the same vein; Thorne writes it "continues the [album's] theme of a black re-write of Wall Street."

The song's narrator attempts to woo a money-hungry lover by promising her a "$100 dinner at Adriano's" and a "brand-new coat or a brand-new hat." The chorus goes: "Donald Trump (black version), maybe that's what you need. A man that fulfills your every wish, your every dream. Donald Trump (black version), come on take a chance. A 1990s love affair, the real romance."

Prince's contribution goes uncredited on the album, but fan site Prince Vault backs up Thorne's claim that the song was penned by the Purple One himself. Incidentally, he wrote it around the same time Trump first openly mulled a run for public office.

The Donald himself paid his respects to Prince on Twitter Friday morning, writing, "I met Prince on numerous occasions. He was an amazing talent and wonderful guy. He will be greatly missed!"

PRINCE VAULT:

Donald Trump (Black Version) is the seventh track (fifth song) on The Time's fourth and final album Pandemonium. Donald Trump (Black Version) was written and produced by Prince, but was credited to The Time. Prince plays most instruments on the track.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking likely took place in Summer, 1989, at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA. Candy Dulfer recorded saxophone overdubs at Paisley Park in late July 1989 (during the same set of sessions where saxophone overdubs were recorded for Love Machine, My Summertime Thang, Release It, Murph Drag, The Latest Fashion, Data Bank, My Baby Knows and A Man Called Jesus). It was included as the third track on the planned 1989 album Corporate World. The Time made slight changes to the mix in late 1989 for inclusion on Pandemonium.

The song is named after American business magnate, socialite, author and television personality Donald Trump. The parenthetical part of the title does not indicate that more than one "version" of the song exists; it refers to the singer being the "black version" of Donald Trump

You have to wonder how many Prince fans will vote for Drumpf because of this song.

I would have been okay if Prince had changed the title/lyrics to someone else. I mean, Donald Trump Black Version? Who is that? Idi Amin?

One of the weakest songs recorded by The Time, for sure. The chorus kind of ruins the song, which I thoguht even before the big cheeto ran for political office.

I wonder if Morris and The Time ever perform it? Saw them a while back and was curious to see if they'd play this one given the political scene. They did not.

I doubt they would ever perform it again without changing the name of the main character. I mean, the guy hates anyone that isn't like him. Much like most 70-year-old well off white dudes in this country.

You shouldn't wonder about such things. If a Prince fan is crazy enough to vote for Trump just because of this song, then there's plenty of other things to worry about concerning that individual -- and his family.

I honestly think Prince would block any use of this song right now if he was alive, that POS Trump is too disgusting for even Prince to remain detached.

I just wish I was the soundguy at one of these events Drumpf is doing. I'd put this song on for no other reason than to piss off everyone in the crowd lol
