Same i've always been confused by her expression though. Is she fighting back tears, or is she confused? At first it almost looked like disgust but I highly doubt that. I'm leaning more towards emotional given the scene.

Yes she is fighting back the tears , it's a like a thankyou from Prince to her and it means so much to her he does that song.
