Final Twitter Avatar

Hey y'all - couldn't post on the other thread about his avatars as it didn't have a reply button. Anyway. Not sure if it's been mentioned before - if it has then flame away - but I was looking for a full version / higher def of his final avatar, that was on a purple shirt he wore in one of his final pictures (the one on Twitter is resized to fit the Twitter size). This was with a view to trying to make myself that shirt.
.
Anyway. A lot has been said about this avatar. The third eye being open. The eyes closed etc - in my searching tho i finally found it in redfoxbandit / Martin Homent the artist who designed its' Twitter in the media there. There are a few versions. This is one of them (sorry - don't know how to put pics here) - https://twitter.com/redfo...7673711616
.
So, the design was for a gig in Washington in June 2015 - and was just being re-used by P. I guess we could be asking why use it right now - but would probbo read less into it being a portent or harbinger of what was to come. As at that point I think he was still looking quite chipper.
.
Hope ur all bearing up - miss our little guy so much. Love you all purple family. Xoxox. Keep working it.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it and I still don't.

You should contact the guy who created it, before you go putting his work of/for Prince on a t-shirt. He's quite talented, and obviously Prince saw that in him - and we all know Prince was an advocate for any artist's rights to be paid for their work.

Too rightin I would before gettin it done - still not found it in the right res anyway. Figured that if it were a one off and I wasn't selling it it would be OK. Main thing was to share that the picture wasn't 'recent'.

Agreed - just out of a courtesy too. It will be harder for these artists now that he is not around, their living may well dry up a little too?

Incorrect. Steve Parke and Sam Jennings are both talented guys in their own right, and have worked making money as artists, or web masters, etc., before and after Prince. Jeff Katz did just fine after Prince, too. These are artists. They make art for a living, whether it's for Prince or not. And this guy that did the recent stuff is quite talented, and will do fine now that Prince is gone. Folks have to remember, these people's careers and livelihood doesnt hinge on all things Prince. Even the recent interview with Kim Berry, Prince's hairstylist for 28 years, said she was doing hair for Ne-Yo, Kat Williams, and more while working with Prince. I mean, having Prince on your resume isn't bad for future work.

It's not what the gig can do for them, it's what they do with the gig.

I guess this is true, I just cant help thinking about the lesser ones that he discovered (such as off You Tube & other social media) that he gave a break to. Bluele comes to my mind here - and I guess I just dumped them all in to the one basket. But either way, it would be courteous to ask first before using the image. I did like thier other work they did on Prince, just not that particular drawing. The Third Eye thing always creeped me out a little anyway.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind ๐Ÿ’œ

This avatar would have been the cover for HnR Phase Three. He did the same thing with the Phase One and Phase Two, it started as his twitter avatar, then it became the album cover. Since all three are so similar in theme/design, I don't think it is too far fetched to think he would have used this for Phase Three.

That would be great. I'd want to hear a Ph3 right away.
Interesting info re: the fact that it might've been used for Ph3.
I like the avitar because I know what it probably represented to Prince.
