joelmarable	same book different page,song Anybody remember this funky jam.it was on some site for a shirt time but it was a very nice prince in rare form jam.wish i could hear that again stickman

Never heard of that song, but I do remember "Same Page Different Book".

I created a playlist, a couple of years ago, called PlectrumAge, where I took the best of AOA & PE, & a few random tracks, and made a (IMO) stronger album for 2014. SPDB was one of those tracks I included on it. It's good. I wish it was included on HITnRUN 2, with some added horn section (a la "Rocknroll Loveaffair").

A great song!

My observation - Prince seems to be acknowledging the validity of religious beliefs that differ:

"same page, different book/Only one God, whatever name he took" expresses quite a different worldview from what he had been preaching in the early 2000s.
