Did any artist top the extended live dance/funk jams in the 80's

I've specifically watched two live performances during the Detroit Birthday Concert 1986.

"A Love Bizarre" and "Controversy/Mutiny". My god, did he rip shit up during those two sets. I mean "A Love Bizarre" just keep on going and going. And the part with "Oak Tree!, Oak Tree!" is just killing me with Jerome mocking the shit out of Morris Day dance move.

And during "Mutiny" when he's finished playing the keyboard he just get the feeling and starting to jive the hell out with a crazy cool dancemove that I wan't to learn. And end the session with a smooth funk break noding his head.

Now, I'm a novice on these live video concerts and just wan't to ask you people, did any other artist endure, dance, lead the band and keep up the tempo during the 80's? He just seems on fire during these occations back in -86.

Dance and lead the band in the 80's?..Yup. Rick James and The Stone City Band....Larry Blackmon and Cameo... ..Roger and ZAPP...Janet Jackson (after she hooked up w/ Jimmy and Terry)and her band....Bootsy would sometimes put his bass down and dance and lead his band..George Clinton (to some extent) did the same while the P-Funk All Stars would play a long winded funk jam.

I actually meant the footage from San Francisco but wrote Birthday Show. My mistake boxed

And the concert your referring to is one of the best things I've seen the last month. Hence my question about other concerts with this magnitude of showmanship during the 80's on a stage. With the bandleader skills, spontanious dancing and so on. Not in the 70's or 90's.
