The 4 official Books I'm in the process of collecting these and nearly have all 4 official Prince books. Who has any of these and to anyone that has the complete set, which one is your favourite.. For me it might have to be Neo Manifesto, absolutely blown away with the art style and the way the book was put together, the quality of the print & the lyrics/poetry.. . I have all four and would also give my vote to 'The Sacrifice Of Victor' - it's the one I connect with the most: it was a very interesting time in his life and I find Terry Gydesen's photography very artful & revealing. . Whilst I was initially excited about the '21 Nights' book project, the result is too artificially polished to really say anything. . I haven't been back to the 'Hawaii' book in a while but in my head it's kind of inbetween the two: the situations have an 'access all areas' feel yet also very controlled at the same time. . 'Neo Manifesto' is an interesting curio but not really a substantial book book. . | |

I haven't read any books on Prince cause I always feared they might be filled with lies and speculations. I was soooo looking forward to his memoirs. | |

I have Hawaii, i like it. Still haven't got round 2 gettin Sacrifice . The other 2 I can live without. Sacrifice of Victor is a stunning book. There are some genuinely impressive and striking photographs. I imagine it'd be hard to track down these days and I suspect very VERY expensive.
The others are nice to have I suppose but nothing special. | |

I still can't believe that I found 21 Nights - BRAND NEW in a major book retailer on their clearance rack with a price of TWO DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simply because the sleeve/slip cover, was no longer glued together. Like seriously people? I mean the book itself was still sealed beneath the cover. I practically ran to the teller before someone realized it was mistakenly priced!
I really really want the Prince In Hawaii one. It's the next one on the radar, since I just snagged the Lift & Times (not official but a beauty nonetheless). I'm sure in time I will like to have them all Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Best Princely Surprise and I treasure it.
21 Nights was all over Austin for like $8.00. No one bought it so they had to get rid of them some way. I personally took a pass, even at $8.00. The pictures were silly and the CD was waaay not my cup o' tea. Even after Prince's death the thing is selling on Amazon for less than it was when it first came out. | |
