Fans - the hardcore fans who love Prince enough to put up that kind of money if they had it - are too flighty, selfish, and ridiculous to do it. Besides, it would not be worth nearly as much without Prince and all the Prince contents (studio, vault, art, decor, equipment, etc).
The time I went to Paisley for Xenophobia, I didnt come away with a good impression of Prince fans. Save America - Stop Illegal Immigration. God bless America. PEACE

there are a lot of so-called prince fans who don't really like prince's work but do enjoy hanging around anyway. i agree the professional touch would be required, rther than a consortium of fans,. i would be very wary of contributing to the GoFundMe efforts in this regard . who knows? maybe someone will rush in and rescue the day. i'd love to know what bremer knows.

I think we all share the same concerns about not wanting the fate of Paisley Park to fall into the wrong hands. It causes me anguish, that's for sure. But I do feel a *smidge* better about Londell being added to the group of those responsible of ensuring Prince's Legacy is handled properly. My biggest fear is that the Estate is going to be sold outright for monetary only because the 'heirs' want their cut of 'the purple pie' - That would be a tragedy on top of an already tragic circumstance.
Some people have questioned the longevity of something like a museum, with regards to drawing power, but something like that doesn't have to be indefinite. Even a 2-5 year term would be reasonable. Meanwhile they could be utilizing the production and studio spaces either for educational purposes like suggested, or even renting the use of it.
Who knows. I just agree that I also worry about the fate of PP. And, if something did come about where fans would be a part of that. I'd be in. Anything to help preserve his legacy.
If someone was going to buy it and help preserve his legacy, I think someone like Spike Lee would be someone who would have the right intensions and contacts (funds) to ensure everything is handled correctly.
Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Perhaps someone could contact Londell and make him aware that their is a desire from fans like ourselves to help, if necessary, to preserve Paisley Park in some way.

What's the worst they can say: No, we have it all under control. Have you ever heard "no" before? Did you survive? It should 't hurt for someone to just write a letter. RIP Prince. We will NEVER forget you. Thank you so much.
