I went to Minneapolis a week after Prince passed to pay my respects. I'm a video and film producer so I took a small dslr that my dearly departed friend Neil Burnie (another giant spirit) gave me the last time I saw him and filmed my entire two day experience. From that, I have produced a 15 min documentary called Hometown Hero about the way the city has reacted to Prince's death. I wanted to treat it as if it was a eulogy as told by the people of Minneapolis.

I purposely avoided his more popular tracks and used many lesser known instrumentals and other tracks to drive the narrative. His talent knew no limits and the music fits quite well. Look out for the Bermudiana flowers I laid at Paisley Park. The story of that flower is kinda fitting and all.

This is also partly my birthday present to Prince and a gift to the city. Anyway I hope ya like it!

A really great documentary, I actually felt more moved by this than I can say. I think because of the cinematography it just felt like I was actually there, the closest I have ever felt to Paisley Park. Thank you so, so much.

Crying all over again

Thank u, thank u, thank u...i'm from MN (just west of Mpls) and this was beautiful. I thought I was done crying too, but the tears are falling again. It's going to take a long time to heal from this loss, but thoughtfulness like this truly helps.

Funny story....at the Block Party at his old high school, I was walking around filming and loving all the people dancing. It was a real cool scene. But then it hit me....all this love, all this purpose.....being there for one reason. And the music sounded amazing real loud in an open space like that. Of all the songs to get teary eyed (for the first time finally) it was Nasty Girl. Haha
