Mark Cuban’s AXS TV (launched in 2012) celebrates the lives and legacies of some of the most notable music icons who left too soon, with the all-new special “The Big Interview – Special Edition: Legends Lost” premiering on Tuesday, June 7, at 8pE/5pP. The hour-long event is hosted by newsman Dan Rather, and is divided into five distinct segments, each one devoted to a different artist.

Featured are heartfelt tributes to genre-defying rocker Prince; R&B royalty Natalie Cole; blues virtuoso B.B. King; glam rock pioneer David Bowie; and country music mainstay Merle Haggard. Using archived footage and exclusive interviews.

Highlights include a rare television appearance by André Cymone, Prince’s best friend and original bassist, who sheds some light on a side of the musical innovator’s personal life that many people never got to see, and talks about working with Prince on his debut album and tour.

If you read the info in the link, it says AXS TV (formerly HDNet).

AXS dud the best coverage of Prince after 4/21. I was traveling and couldn't get access to it. Was so disappointed. The shies were really late at night too, and I had no DVR.

Just moved into a new house yesterday and ordered Comcast HD with DVR. Anyone know if AXS is a special pat station or something of that nature? TV isn't here yet.
