I do - I feel like I have flipped back into denial.

No more tears just back to it hasn't happened.

Whatever you heard about me is true
I change the rules and do what I wanna do

Youtube is flooded with live performances, interviews, and rare stuff.

It's now or never, who knows how long this galore's gonna last.
I discover and rediscover stuff, and it just makes me... Happy Sad.

Yep, same. So much is being taken down already. The live performances have mostly stayed up so far though. I've watched a few musicology era shows near the time I went, and have been trying to relive that. He makes me laugh, but once the show's over, I usually have to wipe away a couple tears.

I wish I could find the exact show I went to, but no such luck yet.

I can only listen to small doses of the upbeat stuff on my train ride to and from work. Still can't listen to any of the slow stuff - especially not PR, Adore, SISIA or NC2U. I also think I've slipped back to denying he's no longer here. I guess subconsciously I've tricked myself into thinking he's in between tours now and lying low...then I realize he's gone and get depressed again. Don't know how I'm gonna make it through the Spike Lee party this weekend, but I'm hoping it will help just being around other Prince fam....

Name: Arabia
Age: Jail Bait
Occupation if any: Sex symbol to many, but I really have a beautiful mind wink

I feel like I should as I come here every morning when I wake up and also Google for new Prince news on his passing/articles. It does feel like I'm obsessed to be honest. I also heard "When Doves Cry" in a shop earlier which made me tearful. Let's face it, none of us saw this coming.

I made a conscious effort to start listening to other stuff this weekend. Think I've just overloaded on prince. More than usual. Right now im digging United Future Organisation. Its actually refreshing. I still check out youtube but have stopped watching the more recent stuff. I cant help but keep looking for any signs something was wrong...

I'm still listening to all Prince. I listened to his music before he died but I also listened to other artists. I'm not ready to stop listening to his music. He has such a huge, diverse music catalog that I don't get tired of it. Thankfully I already had most of his albums.

It's been sporadic.... mostly I was reading articles, watching a lot of videos of him on Youtube, interviews and old concerts that had been posted to Youtube. Not listening to much of his music at all. Only yesterday did I listen to his music for a solid block of time, more like the norm. But yeah, maybe last week, I had this fleeting but strong feeling that I wanted a total break from all things Prince to be away from lingering emotions still attached here and there. I didn't take the break, but it did go through my head as a serious consideration.

See the thing about this is...all of my faves are already dead and gone eek so it's either listen to the recently departed or those have been gone for years (Selena, Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Luther Vandross...etc)

I know that probably makes me look crazy as hell to other people. Nothing moves me more than Prince or Selena's "Como la Flor" or Luther's "If Only for One Night"...
