What u see is what u get with the lovely Rosie. Yeah, me & a female friend gave her a card, she had a vibe about her, hard 2 describe. When I heard later how hard that tour was 4 her it made sense. I think she was isolated & homesick.

I never liked Rosie, I'm sure she's a nice person blah blah but her warbling over Prince's music just did my tattie in, especially live. Same with that bloody screamer Bonnie Boyer. Just shut up the two of you! Don't even get me started on Tony M(ince).

I do like the Rosie version but I have to be totally honest, I have always preferred Prince singing this on his own, it seems to have more depth on his own and less theatrics (JHMO).

I love Rosie Gaines. I think she's the most talented associated artist he's ever had. She's easily the strongest vocalist he's ever had in any of his bands. Like having Patti Labelle on keys. Hopefully one day we'll all hear the Symbol album with Rosie's vocals before she quit & he had them erased. It was a mistake of his not to look after Rosie & to stop the bullying. The promised album did not materialize & he focuses on Carmen Electra!!

Also I think that the Small Club version of Forever In My Life with Bonnie on vocals is the most brilliant unreleased piece of music i've heard from him.

Yeah, that's definitely the best version of the song. I like the duet from the Hits/B-Sides but I'm a sucker for that Candy sax solo.

i loved her voice, and for all the revolution lovers, on a pure intrumental/vocal talent basis, prince picked better people after them.
