Just listened to Phase 2 from start to finish at the gym. Big City and Black Muse are fast becoming favourites.

Earlier I watched some of the tributes online, Anderson Cooper interviewing George Clinton, President Obama's comments, Burt Bacharac, Carmen Electra, it really tore me up hearing these.

I bought all the magazines that have been coming out, but haven't read any of them, just put them on the shelf.

I bought 1999, even though I have it already, and been jamming out to that in the car. I packed away my albums in a steamer trunk a couple years ago after I burned them onto my computer. 1999 was the album I used to have on my headphones when I first got into Prince as a teenager.

I've been burning mixes for friends as a way of coping. This has been traumatic for me, and I'm still shocked. There's been many other deaths closer to home lately. I'm Athabascan, Alaska Native, and we mourn our losses as a community.

I've posted a few comments and video links on my facebook, but mostly been mourning privately.

Someone made a tribute video of The Ladder, the camera simply focuses on a ladder and slowly pans skyward until by the end of the song you're left with a view of the sun and clouds against a blue sky. Heavenly.

We're probably related, my people are from Eagle, the Silas' and we have some Juneby's in the family too. We've had quite a few deaths in the family the last couple years.

This is too cool. My mom was with Rick Crowfoot (Silas) for 27 years. I was just in Eagle for his brother Dickie's service on April 20. When I got back into cell range at Tetlin Junction is when I started getting texts from friends that Prince had passed. Ruth was riding in the car with me. Small world =)

oh, ok. Rick and Dickie and Billy are cousins. I've only been to Eagle twice, it's where my father is buried. I became a musician because of Prince, you can hear some on my soundcloud if you like, much of it is Prince influenced. Most of my people don't really like it though. I'm a city boy for the most part and never fit in up there. I still try to study and read about the old ways and learn about magic, my great grandfather was Paul Silas or "Potsau" as the Indians Pronouned it, he was the chief and lived to 104. Quite a character from everyone I spoke to, most people didn't take him too seriously, i'd get a smile whenever I mentioned his name and people would tell me not to tell my Auntie the things they said about him.

So rad, listening to your soundcloud. I'm liking Go Ghost Go. What are the chances of meeting here, some kind of synchronicity.

I am listening to AOA.

I am finding it hard to listen to albums that I have known intimately for years.

AOA is speaking to me very deeply.

Hi guys, first time posting...Felt so so sad with his passing, I must say it´s a relief being able to join this community, read the forums and different ideas/opinions about his amazing life and work...

I always had my favourites (Parade, Graffiti Bridge, SOTT, Lovesexy and Around the world in a day) but now I have been listening (almost on a daily bases) to The Truth, Plectum and the songs 'I Wonder' and 'There´s other here with us'.

Just discovered the Montreux 2013 6 disc set and the xenophobia 2002 12 disc set so trying to make my way through them at the moment. Also awaiting the arrival of Diamonds and Pearls beginnings from eBay, I've heard good things about the alternate version of insatiable so I'm looking forward to hearing that.
